New kit.
New Wolves kits for next season. Home shirt isn’t too bad, apart from the horrendous stripey bit on the collar. Away shirt looks like a Cardiff shirt (before their “rebranding”).
Dorus’ face just about sums it up.
“C’mon, man.”
I’m so glad that he is with us.
Wolves Logic:
Lose 1-3 against 21st place Huddersfield (who have a -25 GD)
Win 1-0 against 2nd place Hull (who have a +11 GD)
Makes sense.
Heal up, Sylvan. I hope we haven’t seen the last of you.
Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you.
23 March 2010 West Ham 1-3 Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation from the Barclays Premier League with victory over fellow strugglers West Ham United.
Mick McCarthy’s team came into the match in 16th position, a place above West Ham and took a half-time lead through Kevin Doyle taking advantage of a misplaced backpass by James Tomkins.
After the break David Jones set up Ronald Zubar to double Wolves’ lead on 58 minutes and it increased when Matt Jarvis, who was to sign for West Ham two years later, three minutes later.
Guillermo Franco’s goal at the death for West Ham was merely a consolation for manager Gianfranco Zola, who had called the match “a six-pointer”.
In the end, both teams survived the season comfortably. Wolves finished 15th, while West Ham were a place above the relegation zone but five points clear of Burnley, who had 30 points.
“Once Wolves were classed as the finest team in the world. You just have to remember the headlines from the Honved match [in 1954, Wolves came from 2-0 down to beat a Honved side including Ferenc Puskas 3-2] - Honved, champions of Europe, beaten by Wolves, champions of the world. Those were the exact lines and on several occasions the headlines read ‘let the Wolves represent England’. You couldn’t get better headlines than that. It worries me [Wolves’ current position] - but the Wolves will find out what is wrong and they will put it right.”

Wolves against Bristol
I can’t believe Hunty saved our asses yesterday.
Ebanks-Blake takes his equalizer on the half-volley.
Hunty, you are not Björn. Give him his jacket back...
Matt Doherty after his goal.
