Hi! I finished playing Life is Strange 2 a couple of days ago and I'm trying to survive the heartbreak (I got the Redemption ending, which made me happy and depressed in equal measure). I read your A Night with Misty Mice fanfiction and it helped fill the Diaz-shaped hole in my soul... it was precisely what I was looking for, more interactions between characters I have come to love so much. i just don’t know how i’m doing (i’m so curious about you) by larrymurphycansteponme- Sean/Finn. 28k words. This is probably my favorite LiS2 fic. High school AU, sweet, sad, and beautiful coming-of-age story for Sean. There’s very little Daniel in this fic (but he’s very cute in the scenes he’s in) and features more of Sean and his friends, acting like regular teens. Of all the fics I’ve read, this one features Lyla the most prominently, and just as Sean’s best friend. But she’s funny, she’s sweet, and it’s exactly how I love seeing Lyla.
Anchor Me Up, Love by owlmug- Sean/Finn (explicit). 16k words. Absolutely beautifully-written post-Parting Ways ending fic. Features a lot of angst, but also Sean building a new life in Mexico with Finn and healing while being apart from Daniel. Stunning language and imagery, and very emotional, but so heartwarming too.
Double Exposure by Riona (@rixareth on tumblr)- No romance. 11k words. A Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa) AU! Sean and Max switch bodies and form a strange new friendship. This was such a fun read and had some laugh-out-loud moments. Best of all, this isn’t a copy-and-paste of the film it was based on and has its own unique ending. Other fics by Riona I recommend are Torchbearers (Sean and Daniel meet Max and Chloe in Arcadia Bay), Shelter (Sean reunites with Lyla after Wastelands) and And All These Empty Streets (The Last of Us crossover).
The Only Constant by flights_of_fancy- Sean/Lyla. 3k words. A sweet, ultimately heartwarming story set after the Redemption ending. Sean and Lyla are married and it’s adorable. Sean is appropriately struggling after his prison sentence, but Lyla and Daniel are here to help him.
Team Spiritwolf by radept- A currently ongoing series with Chris and Daniel as teens and it’s adorable. Cute, funny (one of my favorite lines is Daniel texting Finn “i’m just a young child i don’t know how this works”), and explores their budding feelings for each other.
Howl: A Fond Farewell by Epic_Glitter- No romance. 2k words. A poignant but sad look at the events of Roads through a unique perspective.
Weird by icantwriteyo- 1.3k words. A cute little fic where 13-year-old Daniel goes to Sean for help with his crush on Chris and Sean comes out to Daniel.
