I’m really enjoying how X-Men 97 is writing Polaris! Lorna is funny and aggressive - she’s a bit more of a badass at physical fighting than she is in the comics, but I love it. (I wouldn’t call 616 Polaris particularly fit or athletic, she’s just super powerful). Obviously not having her tied to Genosha was a big mistake, but as the show seems to be mixing and mashing various characters’ lore to do their own thing, it doesn’t bother me as much as it usually would. And her and Bishop are CUTE as fuck. Can’t believe the show actually did what the comics repeatedly failed to do and gave her a romance with someone who isn’t Alex Summers. Looking forward to the next two episodes, but I feel like things aren’t going to go well for Lorna… she’s definitely going to become Pestilence right?

This will be my last god of war post until Laufey… the bloody app deleted all my captures. Anyway something I really enjoy about Freytos is how the characters challenge each other to adapt and change. Freya questions and challenges Kratos’ assumptions in Gow18, leading to his and Atreus’ reconciliation- at the cost of her son’s life. In Ragnarok, once she and Kratos have reconciled, she challenges Kratos again by asking him to take on positions he is wary of - leading their troops as their general in Ragnarok and, later, she asks him to take on the role of god of war for her council of the realms. Each time Kratos is unwilling to do so due to his actions in Greece, but each time he steps forward and grows because of it. Likewise, Kratos councils Freya on her son’s death and tells her of the self fulfilling prophecy he himself fell into as a young god. While the game’s players (and Freya herself) tend to blame her for Baldur’s death, the character is remarkably forgiving of the mistakes Freya had made. This is why I love the pairing, and I hope SSM continues to write the two characters as well as they already have. Can’t wait for GOW Laufey in Feb!!!

Let me be clear that I always supported Olivia Wilde even when that stuff came out about her almost running over Jason Sudeikis after he lay infront of her car. Yes my support was mostly fueled by lust for 13 House but also I could tell misogyny was a huge part of the whole thing.
