The Phantom of the Opera- Nohrian style

Does anyone else see Xander as the Phantom(of the Opera or Nohr), the unseen tutor, light and guardian whereas Silas is this brave young suitor, taking on his triumph (Silas as Raoul). Silas seeking To guard you and to guide you, loving Corrin (Christine) every waking hour. “Anywhere you go let me go too, that’s all i ask of you.” But Xander is charming, intoxicatingly so. “Close your eyes for the truth isnt what you want to see” “Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before…only then can you belong to me” (hmm Hoping Corrin would forget her Hoshidan roots? Somehow this might work better with Ryouma as Raoul but I don’t see Corrin and Ryouma as a romantic pair…if Silas was a Hoshidan this would be perfect!) “Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation” …I really see Xander whisper-singing this into Corrin’s ear. After all he sure does want to “teach her about love as well.” 😏 Yet when Silas, Corrin’s childhood sweetheart, sweeps in and steals the show I can completely see Xander being butthurt…frighteningly so, “I gave you my music (sword lessons). Made your song take wing (you got pretty powerful cuz of my tutelage) and now how you repay me deny me and betray me. He was bound to love you… *Weep weep* Corrin…little princess…. However weepy-defeated Xander is tough to imagine so he immediately goes into rage/revenge mode- “I’ll have you one way or another!” and vows *vows with furrowed eyebrows* : “You’ll detest the day you did not do all that the phantom asked of you!” and waves his Siegfried menacingly. *bonus silas-xander fight at the point of no return* *bonus2* Garon as the Prima Donna hating Corrin…

My goodness I was just thinking of this AU! 

Except, I saw Jakob as the phantom – not to say the Xander comparison isn’t great as well. I see Jakob in part because of his past (being completely unwanted by parents and quickly sold into servitude), and how he was ever present to Corrin when she was growing up as well as his world starting and ending with her. I also see Jakob having more the skill set the phantom flaunts, navigating treacherous catwalks and passageways with ease. Not to mention the use of traps and nooses over head on attacks. It’s hard for me to see Xander as that stealthy and balanced.

Though, Jakob definitely falls short in some departments, namely the anger yearning for revenge – he’d more likely resign himself to silence if Corrin were to choose someone over him.

I suppose it probably comes down to who your prefer Corrin shipped with. Except the Silas part. Silas is such a perfect Raoul, from the backstory to his personality.  Also, I see Camilla as Madame Giry and Elise as Meg Giry

Ooh Jakob as the Phantom! What a well made point! He is there from the very beginning like the Phantom and he does have the skill set and backstory. It's really perfect! -why did i fail to see it before? Somehow I saw Jakob and Gunther as the new managers (why do I always forget their names?) (Felicia and Flora as the old managers slightly(?) relieved to be rid of the responsibility (theater/kingdom/Corrin) and the Phantom (darn those beautifully written but demanding notes) esp. Flora (being from the Ice tribe and all...so eager to not serve the Phantom(Xander)...evil Nohrian and all.)

Though the notes the Phantom leaves are supposed to be tetric I see them more as beautifully crafted, scary but sexy? Haha Xander would probably leave the notes in dark envelopes with the iconic rose (or dead man) attached, but when you open them up you think, "wow this penmanship!"

Anyways...you're absolutely right it really comes down to who you ship Corrin with!

[ooooh Camilla and Elise as Madame Giry and Meg Giry is perfect! (I personally see even this as more reason for Xander to be the Phantom because Camilla would totally secretly support him. Ship him with Corrin.) This AU needs to happen.

Book Review:

I've been reading Vampire Hunter D volume 25...it's really interesting! 

Whereas the adjectives "beautiful" and "gorgeous" get redundant and even somewhat annoying one (the reader) must be willing to overlook these because the book is a translation of the original Japanese series... or we can always quit complaining and learn Japanese!

This is a quite interesting series that doesn't require the reader to have read all 25 prior books. The stories are quite independent and one would be fine by picking up any volume (I think. The only other volume I've read is volume 1 and I do alright.)

So if you're in the mood for a sci-fi vampire filled book definitely check out these books by acclaimed author Hideyuki Kikuchi.
