Maybe she should have more trust but she could barely accept the idea that Morgana was ‘normal’ or that the same thing that had happened before would not happen again, in that her mistrust was well placed and she would trust her own view on that. “Forgive me but I can barely believe such-she…how she became, how can any of us be sure that will not happen again?” In a matter of fairness, maybe Gwen needed to give Morgana a chance even if she could never fully trust her as she once had. “Wonderful then.-I have not, so yes why not. Better I get to know this place now rather than later yes?” She could trust Lancelot, it was not as if he was leaping at her over a table and at the end of the day she wished to at least remain friends…she wasn’t one to push away those from home.

It would take a while, even Gwen knew that;It wasn’t as if she had transitioned into this new time but maybe it was a gift of sorts and that was one thing she would be thankful for. The first thing that caught her attention was Morgana, the way she had remembered Morgana was as the evil that had caused Arthur’s death and now she was here? “Morgana?…you said she was here. Why is she-is she the way she was the last time I saw her?….evil I mean?” The anger would come, but there would always be hope as even Gwen couldn’t help but wish for the woman she’d grown up with, the one before all the evil. “Okay, well dinner with friends sounds like the perfect idea…and I would love to see them.” She had attempted to ignore the clear signs of flirting because that was one road she was not to venture down again.

A blast from the past or so they say; It was true and because he had been dead long before her marriage. Long before she became Queen. She had many regrets of course, some including Lancelot but where love had once laid within her heart for him, there was only care now for someone she had loved in the past and for someone she was glad to see alive and well. “Lancelot? And I am glad to see you alive here.” Her smile faulted for a moment at the mention of the kingdom, the last thing she remembered was Arthur’s death and how she had to lead Camelot into a knew era and then…she was here. “I suppose the people are the Kingdom yes?..America? 2017?” The moment of shock almost placed her in a fit of laughter, it seemed unreal “I don’t know whether to believe this is all a dream or to go into hysterics.”

♘      ━━━━   TRUTH BE TOLD HE WAS VERY GLAD TO SEE GWEN HERE.  morgana was an alright person to get along with      (   now that he knew that she was before she went around the bend into MADNESS   )      but it wasn’t quite the same.          ❛    the one and only.    ❜          a broad smile appeared as he semi--bowed.  somehow it felt ODD bowing ‘cause he’s had no need for it in a while.          ❛    not precisely what i meant.  the kingdom as in camelot.  we’ve got merlin here along with arthur, percival, gwaine, morgana, myself, and now you.  i’m sure that the only remaining people we need is elyan and leon to make it whole.  i guess gaius, too.      ------      yes, america in 2017.  very confusing, i’ll try to catch you up but later. maybe over dinner   . . .   with the friends ?  i’m sure they’d all LOVE to see you.    ❜

♘      ━━━━   YOU COULD SAY THAT LANCELOT STILL DIDN’T FULLY TRUST MORGANA, even after the countless number of times that merlin promised him that she was different.  there was that part of him that couldn’t believe that.  he was made into her puppet !  to do HER bidding.  of course, he didn’t have a say because he was a wraith, but still, that’s a for sure reason not to trust someone.  ------------    right ?  when he finally died, he realized what he had done and who MADE HIM do it.  lancelot rocked and shattered the kingdom from its very core.  the blame was all on him !      (   actually, lance, it’s morgana to blame but okay.   )          ❛    merlin at work i’m taking it ?    ❜          he asked, his eyes moving down towards the floor.  being alone with morgana until merlin came home ?  sounded like a whole lot of fun.      (   wow, back off with the sarcasm.   )

A SINGLE breath, her hand moving to run over her head and face as if to check she was not hurt. She eventually found her footing, brunette locks FLOWING in the wind of the unfamiliar town. Gwen turned to the first person she saw, almost in desperation “Hello, do you happen to know what land this is? I am unfamiliar with it and it is far from what I am used to.”

♘      ━━━━   LANCELOT, DONNED IN A BLACK PEACOAT PULLED TIGHTLY AROUND HIM, walked on through the streets making his way back home to his apartment.  he was lost in his thoughts, thinking of what needed to be done and if he was going to be visiting merlin’s or arthur’s apartment for supper.  of course, lancelot could always host the supper but it was usual for either merlin or arthur to hold it.  a voice dragged him out of his reverie and his eyes landed on the person.          ❛    gwen ?  oh, it’s lovely to see you !  we almost have the entire KINGDOM back now.  you’re in america, 2017 so it’s been quite some time since our time.    ❜

               MOANA’S HEAD TILTS BACK AS the sea breeze cuts through her like a knife. she is used to the warm breezes of motunui or even the cooler breezes on the sea when a storm passed but nothing ever this cold. and yet, the salt water still smelled the same. moana glances over the railing to look to the rocks below. there is a moment of hesitation before she is climbing the railing and dropping to the rocks below. the water is calm today and she wants to be closer to it. she settles herself amongst a nook in the rocks before smiling down at the water. she drags her hand through the cold water before, slowly, it begins to raise up into a sort of wave before her.        “ hello, old friend. ” 

♘      ━━━━   ‘PON SEEING A SUSPICIOUS CHARACTER CLIMBING OVER A RAIL makes him walk over, very intrigued. he liked it when he saw people disobey the law because it reminded him of his younger days but this person just DROPPED onto rocks and that made him nervous. he leaned over the railing to look down at the scene developing in front of him. there was a girl      (   what he ASSUMED was a girl   )      talking to the water? confusion is evident on his features as he follows what she did. quietly, lancelot settled down next to the girl.             ❛    how did you do that?    ❜

a glance to lancelot and he smiles at his friend, HIS BROTHER, and the suggestion.  so simple but, in such a strange place, it surely meant the world to him.   “gladly. i’d imagine you know the way better than i … i’d get lost in this place for certain.”

♘      ━━━━   ❛      I DO KNOW A FEW STORES CLOSE BY THAT sell mattress. we can go there tonight after supper?  it won’t take long.      ❜               a smile doesn’t leave his lips as he looks percival. it was a very long time since he’s seen his brother. all he wants to do is talk about what happened after he sacrificed himself. he wants to know what happened to camelot.

♘      ━━━━   LANCELOT HASN’T BEEN AROUND IN NEW YORK FOR LONG , but he has caught on rather quickly.   the only exception was that he didn’t understand the whole new years gig.   he found it rather odd to be celebrating a new year.   guess you can call him old fashion but he doesn’t see the appeal to it.   although, you CAN’T see him turning down a night spending time with his friends  &  drinking.   two of his favorites things!

he knew when midnight was going to be soon by the countdown going on around him.   he loved his friends dearly but did forget how LOUD they could be when they wanted to be.   he wandered back into the kitchen to get himself another glass of wine.   as soon as he looked up from pouring all he could see was everyone kissing.   weird.   his eyes rolled as he lifted the glass to his lips   &   took a long drink, nearly downing it all.

“it’s tradition.” he heard someone near say.   setting down his glass, lancelot looked towards the voice.   merlin.   a smile formed as he leaned against the counter.          ❛      a tradition?   really?   how utterly odd.     ❜          he said, dismissing it with a small eye roll.   he really didn’t see the point of all of this.   why would you want to kiss someone at midnight?   what did it symbolize?          ❛      so, on new year’s eve it’s tradition for people to kiss?   why?      ❜          he picks up his glass again for another sip, trying to wrap his brain around the nonsense.

a small scoff escapes his lips as he shakes his head, giving up on trying to find out a LOGICAL reason.   his gaze goes from his glass to merlin.   it’s a soft gaze, his usual for merlin.   taking a deep breath, he sets down his glass once more   &   strides over to him.          ❛      well, if it IS tradition, i don’t want to be the one to break it.      ❜          he ducks his head slightly to fully kiss merlin.   his hands go to his waist, almost to hold him in place.   once the brief kiss was done with, lancelot lets out a soft sigh.          ❛      i hope i kept up the tradition well?      ❜          he asks, leaning his forehead on his friends.

˚ ˖ :  *    ––––––––––     arthur was expected.   morgana ?   a unpleasant surprise turned pleasant.    LANCELOT ?    …     when kilgharrah told him arthur would return the great creature seemed to have failed to mention that the rest of camelot would rise with him.   merlin had only expected a king yet ,    for all that his memory had blurred the faces of the past ,     seeing lancelot’s face again     …     he’s caught himself in wishful fits seeing his friends in other faces before but there was there was no denying who the man wandering the pharmacy was.    he stood there ,  a half filled prescription in hand as he stared ,  mouth slightly parted ,  at his once closest friend for a solid second before finally blinking himself back to reality.   his head shakes then he stares at the prescription.    IT CAN SURELY WAIT.   he takes strides to the counter & sets it aside before going the door that separates behind the counter to the store ,  ignoring the confused glances of his coworkers.   he jogs a few steps to come up behind his friend then wraps slender fingers around his wrist for his attention.            ❛   lancelot  ——   ❜             the name is breathless & comes with a grin.

♘      ━━━━   EVERYTHING WAS SLOWLY COMING BACK TO him as he wandered the streets of new york.   he couldn’t quite understand HOW he got here ,  but he was not about to complain.   being here was FAR BETTER than being in the after life.   he was slowly getting his bearings     :     knowing NOT to walk onto the black smooth rock because wheeled contraptions would hit you  &  not care ,  to walk at a brisk pace across the black smooth rock when given the chance ,  &  that he needed to get somewhere WARM.   his shirt, though it is long -- sleeved was not doing its job at keeping him warm nor his pants.   he was shivering ,  almost violently ,  when he came across a building that looked like it brought the  PROMISE of warmth.   he opened the door  &  was greeted with a blast of warm air.   PERFECT.   he didn’t know what anything in this building was ,  but that didn’t stop him from walking around  &  looking at everything.   when he felt the touch on his wrist ,  he turned.   when his eyes landed on the familiar face there was NOTHING that could keep a smile away from his lips.   MERLIN.   tentatively ,  he places a hand on his friend’s shoulder  &  gave it a little squeeze.               ❛      merlin      ------------      ❜               he replies almost in the exact same matter.               ❛      ------------      did i ruin camelot?      ❜
