Good morning, WoWers! Today I’ve been farming Embersilk Cloth in the dungeon The Bastion of Twilight again! Just as a reminder, The Bastion of Twilight is in the Twilight Highlands. It’s the yellow star on the map above. The entrance to the dungeon is high up in the air, so you’ll need a flying mount or you need to be able to turn into a bird. I entered the instance and took down all the NPCs (level 85-87) in the Antechamber. Then I left. Do not go past the Antechamber and kill any bosses. I was able to reset the instance 9-ish times before I wasn’t allowed back in. I’d say it took less than 20 minutes with my 106 Druid night elf on Heroic 25-player difficulty. Here’s what I got: *Several hundred gold (forgot to check exactly how much I had before I started haha) *2 Elementium Lockbox (Contents 1: 30 gold, 50 silver, 90 copper, 1 Elementium Lockbox. Contents 2: 29 gold, 44 silver, 55 copper, Bluefen Handwraps. Contents extra Elementium Lockbox: 34 gold, 95 silver, 44 copper, Blackwolf Scepter of the Whale) *992 Embersilk Cloth (Yes! 992!) *12 Green uncommon quality items *4 Purple epic quality items (Weapons/armor disenchanted into: 20 Hypnotic Dust, 4 Maelstrom Crystal, 5 Greater Celestial Essence) I went in for the Embersilk Cloth, but I left with a good bit more than that. In summary, this is a dungeon that I farm on the regular to keep my tailor in Embersilk and to make a bit of gold. Iron Ore Prospecting

Quick post!! This one's about Iron Ore Prospecting. I bought 500 Iron Ore from the AH (all under 0.5 gold a piece) and here's what I got: 6 Star Ruby: 1-2 gold each 35 Citrine: 7 gold 40 Jade: 2 gold 39 Lesser Moonstone: 0.08 gold 2 Aquamarine: 4 gold Approximate AH value of the gems: 344 gold. These prices may fluctuate, or they may be totally different on a different server. But I paid less than 250 for the ore, so there's a bit of a profit. Thanks for reading 😁 Remember! Tin Prospecting

Hi again! I’m posting about Tin Ore Prospecting today on my 101 night elf demon hunter, jewelcrafting skill of 693.

I bought 180 Tin Ore from the AH at 0.5 gold each. So I spent a total of 90 gold for the ore. Here’s what I got from prospecting my 180 Tin Ore:

*19 Lesser Moonstone: 5.7 gold *12 Shadowgem: 12 gold *16 Moss Agate: 432 gold *1 Aquamarine: 13.5 gold *1 Jade: 16.5 gold *1 Citrine: 4 gold

Total current AH value: 483.7 gold

Conclusion: Tin Ore is a boss for Prospecting returns. I spent 90 gold and ended up with ~483.7 gold worth of gems. It’s those Moss Agate. They’re pricey. I always buy as much Tin Ore as I can, especially when it’s under 0.5-1 gold each. You should too and make some gold!! I don’t generally mine Tin Ore from the source because I feel like it takes up too much of my time. I let other people gather it haha.

Thorium Prospecting

Hi! Long time, no post. Sorry about that. I haven’t done much lately that was worth sharing. I farmed some more Thorium Ore again BUT! This time instead of selling it, I’m going to prospect it. That’s right! I decided to quit inscription on my 101 demon hunter night elf and pick up jewelcrafting. My skill level is currently 693.

I gathered 447 Thorium Ore (current AH value: ~894 gold) in Silithus in about an hour. Here’s what I got from prospecting 445 Thorium Ore:

*28 Azerothian Diamond: 224 gold *26 Blue Sapphire: 71.5 gold *26 Huge Emerald: 143 gold *37 Large Opal: 185 gold *16 Star Ruby: 32 gold

Total current AH gold value: 655.5

So I guess I would have made more gold by selling the ore. However, while I was mining, I got a bunch of Arcane Crystals. If I can sell those on the AH, I don’t think I’ll have done too badly. It’s just a shame that you can’t prospect Arcane Crystals from Thorium Ore. oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, y’all! Long time, no post! (Again) Today, I’m posting about mining in Silithus. I went there for Thorium Ore and Truesilver Ore. I followed the red line all the way around the edge and hit the other red areas too. There aren’t any caves with deposits around here, but the yellow circles show you where some tunnels are. To be honest, I didn’t even bother going down into the tunnels. I was drowning in deposits/veins above ground. This place was great for Thorium deposits, but Truesilver was a little more scarce.

I ended up farming for about TWO HOURS! after taking Darkmoon Firewater. For anyone who doesn’t know, Darkmoon Firewater reduces the amount of time it takes you to gather ore/herbs/skins/etc. I flew from deposit/vein to deposit/vein and here’s what my two hours got me:

1141 Thorium Ore (2282 gold)

1620 Dense Stone (32 gold)

 Truesilver Ore (I forgot to write down how many I gathered before I deposited them in my bank. Smh @ myself)

41 Arcane Crystal (1640 gold)

11 Black Vitriol (1.5 gold)

12 Star Ruby (36 gold)

12 Blue Sapphire (54 gold)

12 Large Opal (240 gold)

20 Huge Emerald (10 gold)

10 Azerothian Diamond (950 gold)

1 Aquamarine (20 gold)

2 Citrine (28)

The gold amounts in parenthesis next to the items are the approximate Auction House value at this time (going from the lowest ‘buy now’ price). Each Citrine would be worth 14 gold, and since I got two of them, the price next to it says 28 gold.

So during that two hour period, I gathered almost 5,300 gold worth of items! Mostly just because of the sheer number of Thorium Ore I gathered. But also because Arcane Crystals are so pricey, and it looks like the price of Azerothian Diamonds and Large Opals went up recently. As we all know, AH prices can fluctuate, so these numbers might not be accurate after the day I checked them (07 DEC 2016). Just check my last post about mining here; you’ll see how prices fluctuate. Long time no post! Sorry for the long pause. Today I’m posting about another solo run of the Serpentshrine Cavern raid on 25-player Normal difficulty on 14 NOV 2016. The entrance to this raid is in the middle of Serpent Lake (red star on the map above) in Zangarmarsh. You have to swim through this tube thing to get to Serpentshrine Cavern (straight ahead) and the two other instances located here: The Slave Pens (to the left) and the Underbog (to the right). NPCs were around level 70-72.

Time: I got through this one with my 104 Druid night elf in 20 minutes.

Gold: After selling the soulbound items that I didn’t want/need, I ended up with a gold profit of 200.

Loot: My night elf is an herbalist, so I was able to get about 50 various herbs and 33 Mote of Life off of some of the NPCs. I also looted 32 Netherweave Cloth, 4 Nether Vortex, 2 leatherworking patterns, 12 uncommon (green) quality items that I will either sell on the Auction House or disenchant later. I also also got an epic item: The Ancient Scepter of Sue-Min. Pretty nice, but I’M STILL WAITING FOR THE TIDESKIPPER PET :’(

Boss Tips: Lady Vashj is not hard to kill, but it does take like 5 minutes. You can hit her a few times and then she’s immune to your attacks. She’ll be getting power from four generators around her. You need to look around for Tainted Elementals and kill them to get Tainted Cores. It’s easy to find them because they’re green instead of blue, and they’ll be spitting green goo at you. BUT you have to get to them quick because they will disappear. And you can only carry one Tainted Core at a time. After you get one, go click on one of Vashj’s generators. This will disable it. You have to do this four times in total.

Also, be sure to kill Coilfang Striders and Coilfang Elites as soon as they get near you. They do this super annoying thing where you end up feared and lose control for a few seconds. Those few seconds could mean that you miss a Tainted Elemental and have to wait for another one to pop up.

Warning: If you die in this instance, you may not be able to get back underwater and to the raid entrance as a spirit. This means you’ll have to accept ressurection sickness from a Spirit Healer.This especially sucks if you just fell down the elevator right away. It’s huge and you will die if you don’t have a way to slow your fall.

Overall: You get a lot of trash to sell. You might have to leave half way through to empty your bags if you don’t have a lot of bag space. But you get some decent stuff for 20 minutes. This is an instance that I do semi-regularly. Hey, y’all! Today I’m posting about a solo run of The Stonecore dungeon in Deepholm. NPCs were level 85-87. 

Time: I solo’d this one with my level 101 Druid night elf, and it only took me 10 minutes.

Gold: I ended up with about 148 gold.

Loot: I left with a few items: 13 Embersilk, 7 Volatile Fire, 1 Chaos Orb

Yello! Today, I’m posting about my herb gathering jaunt in Deepholm. I went there mainly for Heartblossom. I ended up just flying everywhere and not following any particular path. But the yellow stars show where some clusters are.

I ended up farming for about 15 minutes after taking Darkmoon Firewater. For anyone who doesn’t know, Darkmoon Firewater reduces the amount of time it takes you to gather ore/herbs/skins/etc. I flew around and here’s what my 15 minutes got me:

37 Cinderbloom (185 Gold)

107 Heartblossom (428 Gold)

35 Volatile Life (210 Gold)

The gold amounts in parenthesis next to the items are the approximate Auction House value at this time (going from the lowest ‘buy now’ price). Each Volatile Life would be worth 6 gold, and since I got 35 of them, the price next to it says 210 gold.

So during that 15 minutes, I gathered over 820 gold worth of items. But as we all know, AH prices can fluctuate, so these numbers might not be accurate after the day I checked them (14 Oct 2016). I only gathered for 15 minutes because I got bored. There were plenty of plants there though. I guess if I had gone for the full hour, I would have gotten more like 3,000 gold worth of items. Hello! Today, I’m posting about my mining trip in Deepholm. I went there for Elementium Ore and Obsidian Ore. This area is super craggy/mountainous, so I just flew around everywhere. I didn’t really have a set path. But the red stars are caves that have deposits and the yellow star is where I found several deposits all very close to each other.

I ended up farming for about an hour after taking Darkmoon Firewater. For anyone who doesn’t know, Darkmoon Firewater reduces the amount of time it takes you to gather ore/herbs/skins/etc. I flew from deposit to deposit and here’s what my 60 minutes got me:

101 Obsidian Ore (353.5 Gold)

115 Elementium Ore (172.5 Gold)

9 Volatile Earth (36 Gold)

11 Volatile Water (198 Gold)

The gold amount in parenthesis next to the item is the approximate Auction House value at this time (going from the lowest ‘buy now’ price). Each Volatile Earth was worth 4 gold, and since I got 9 of them, the price next to it says 36 gold.

So during that hour, I gathered about 760 gold worth of ore. But as we all know, AH prices can fluctuate, so this number might not be accurate after the day I checked it (15 Oct 2016). I don’t know if I would gather here again. It’s pretty good for Obsidian, but I can go to Uldum and get more Elementium as well as Pyrite Ore (See my Uldum mining post HERE). Also, I didn’t get any jewels. Not sure if there are no jewels at all to be gathered, or if it was just bad luck. Hi there! Today, I’m posting about my mining trip to the Valley of the Four Winds (Pandaria). I went there for Ghost Iron Ore. I followed the red line all the way around the edge. The line on the south side did drift into Krasarang Wilds, but I figure it’s close enough that it counts. The yellow star is a cave that has 2-3 deposits in or just outside of it. The blue stars are areas that I found to be pretty rich in deposits.

I ended up farming for about 30 minutes after taking Darkmoon Firewater. For anyone who doesn’t know, Darkmoon Firewater reduces the amount of time it takes you to gather ore/herbs/skins/etc. I flew from deposit to deposit and here’s what my 30 minutes got me:

250 Ghost Iron Ore (1,500)

The gold amount in parenthesis next to the item is the approximate Auction House value at this time (going from the lowest ‘buy now’ price). Each Ghost Iron Ore was worth 6 gold, and since I got 250 of them, the price next to it says 1,500 gold.

I usually gather for an hour after taking the potion above (because it lasts 60 minutes), but to be honest I got bored. There aren’t any jewels or gems or other crafting mats to be gotten from these deposits. But according to the world wide web, a jewelcrafter could prospect the following from Ghost Iron Ore: Primordial Ruby, Sun’s Radiance, River’s Heart, Wild Jade, Imperial Amethyst, Vermillion Onyx, Pandarian Garnet, Lapis Lazuli, Sunstone, Alexandrite, Roguestone, Tiger Opal, and Sparkling Shard.

So during that ½ hour, I gathered about 1,500 gold worth of ore. But as we all know, AH prices can fluctuate, so this number might not be accurate after the day I checked it (11 Oct 2016). Hey WoWers! Today I’m posting something a little different. Previous posts have been about solo’ing dungeons/raids and gathering crafting mats. Well, today, I’m talking about a combo of these two. I’ve been farming a ton of Embersilk Cloth in the dungeon The Bastion of Twilight!

I went for the Embersilk Cloth, but I left with more than that. The items with (?) at the end just means that I didn’t find one listed on the AH. If I can’t sell the armor/weapons there, I’ll disenchant them later. And I got 309 Embersilk Cloth! It was going for a Buy Now price of 3 gold each when I checked the AH on 11 October 2016. I haven’t opened the Eternium Lockboxes yet, so I don’t know what’s in there. The links on the items take you to the WoW Head page with more info on them.

Hey, y’all! Today I’m posting about another solo run of the Sunwell Plateau raid on 25-player Heroic difficulty on October 1st. It’s located on the Isle of Quel’Danas which is the island at the very top of the Eastern Kingdoms. I got there by using the portal in Shattrath. NPCs were level 70-80.

Time: I solo’d this one with my level 101 Druid night elf, and it only took me 20 minutes.

Gold: After selling the soulbound items that I didn’t want/need, I ended up with a profit of around 250 gold.

Loot: I left with quite a few items: 8 Sunmote, 154 Netherweave Cloth, 3 Lionseye, 3 Pyrestone, 2 Empyrean Sapphire, 1 Crimson Spinel, 3 Seaspray Emerald, 2 Shadowsong Amethyst

I also got 8 uncommon (green) quality items that I will either sell or disenchant later, a Khorium Lockbox, AND A Servant’s Bell which teaches you how to summon the pet Wretched Servant (below). It’s kinda ugly, but I love getting new pets <3

Yello! Today, I’m posting about my mining jaunt in Uldum. I went there for Elementium Ore and Pyrite Ore. I followed the red line all the way around the edge and hit the other red areas too. I found one or two deposits on the coast, but that was it. I also found one or two deposits in the green areas, but again, there weren’t many. This was a pretty okay place to mine. I didn’t really run into too many others mining. 

I ended up farming for about an hour after taking Darkmoon Firewater. For anyone who doesn’t know, Darkmoon Firewater reduces the amount of time it takes you to gather ore/herbs/skins/etc. I flew from deposit/vein to deposit/vein and here’s what my hour got me:

251 Elementium Ore (251 gold)

35 Pyrite Ore (770 gold)

14 Volatile Earth (70 gold)

16 Volatile Water (448 gold)

9 Volatile Fire (117 gold)

1 Dream Emerald (4 gold)

1 Hessonite (12 gold)

2 Zephyrite (? gold) (no buy now price on AH)

1 Carnelian (1 gold)

1 Aliate (2 gold)

1 Nightstone (7 gold)
