Anakin was born on a clear, full-moon night to Lord Cadgon Prowell and Shmi Skywalker ā a legitimized bastard of Baelon Targaryen. Shmi was forced to marry Cadgon to bear his heirs. Anakin's birth was whispered about among the houses. Some say he was born from the will of the Gods alone. Others claimed a dragon was his mother who shapeshifted into a human. No one knows for certain, but fate seemed always to follow Anakin.
Unlike his grandfather's house, the Prowells did not have dragons. Rumors spread further claiming witchcraft when Anakin was born with white hair that turned honey blonde to brown as he got older. It only got worse when his younger sister's was as black as the night.
At the age of three, his sister Violet was born, much to the disappointment of Cadgon. Shmi fell ill quickly after giving birth and died five days later. But not before making Anakin swear he would protect his sister. An oath he takes seriously.
Being the heir of the Prowell house, Anakin's father tried his best to mold him into what he pictured a future lord to be. Despite this, Anakin often fought with his father on his ideals and how he treated others. His hand was disfigured in one of those fights. Cadgon threw Anakin into a fireplace, and his hand caught fire. He wears one black glove to cover it.
When he was seven, he bonded with the dragon Vahaemion. This caused more to question if Shmi was a bastard at all. Two years later, his sister Violet also bonded with her own dragon. Seeing both on their dragon's back was a common sight.
Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin as his squire at the age of nine. A feat his father boasted about constantly. Training and learning everything he could, he saw it as a way out from his father's constant abuse. During one of their travels, Anakin met Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and her father through Ser Criston Cole.
As time went on, Anakin focused his attention and strove to be the Leader of the Kingsguard. He rose through the ranks of knights. He came in second to Cole by the age of twenty. Known for his strategic planning and fencing abilities, Daemon Targaryen eventually sought him for his Gold Cloaks. He enlisted before the tension between the Targaryens and Hightowers rose.
The tension in the palace was thick with mistrust by this time. Things in the Prowell house finally came to a head when Anakin silently declared Rhaenyra Targaryen as the heir he acknowledged. This caused a split within the House and led half of Cadgon's allies to side with Anakin. They declared him as the head of the house. When the Greens finally seize the throne, his father takes advantage and has his knighthood revoked. Furious and hating the Greens, he leaves to go to Dragonstone to finally pledge his very vocal support and his alliance to the Blacks.
