Full confession: Hearing about the Hot Rod’s death sucked a lot and I didn’t expect it to hurt me as much as it did, I wasn’t around to see his matches, I was more around the time of the Hardy's and Eddie Guerrero and such, but I did watch a lot of the older matches thanks to my uncle who actually put them on VHS and would keep them, he hoped that his daughter would grow to love wrestling, but it ended up being me. The first death that hit me was Eddie Guerrero, he was a superhero to me and I adored him so much, I always talked about wanting to see him wrestle live and stuff, my family even has videos of tiny me screaming and kissing the TV when he would come out, so when I was able to understand that he was dead, it was sad. I cried a lot and was a mad kid, through the years wrestlers have died, but I didn’t think I’d feel what I fell with Eddie’s death again, but boy was I proven wrong today, I never got to meet Rowdy Piper as well, but I’ll always hold a place for the man, he was definitely on the level of importance to me as Eddie. I love those two, and they were taken way too early. Makes me scared to lose another wrestler now to be honest.
