i sit, watching him. he is everything i could ever hope to be. he is everything i will never be.

that's okay, i think. i wouldn't be very good at being like him.

he might be physically indestructable, but there are so many other ways to bleed.

i am simply unable

to think clearly

i am but a cloud

in a sky of birds

sometimes i think she'd consume me if i let her.

other times i think we never stood a chance, and were consumed together a long time ago.

sometimes i feel like i'm slowly rotting away on the inside, and other times i think i might have hallucinated feeling like that. after all, what's left to rot?

i struggle with insecurities,

constantly aware of all the possible ways

i could be feeling,

always unsure if i'm manipulating people

or if my selfish desire for comfort is real

sometimes i think i forget myself.

other times i wonder if i ever knew myself in the first place.

i am soaring with the weight of my despair.

sometimes i feel tall and sometimes i feel like i'm going to be squished by all the things i have to do, despite the fact that all of them are small compared to me

what if this isn't real

it's so interesting to watch people talk about the things they love. i could listen to them ramble for hours because it's just so pleasing to hear them be happy.

other times i curl up in bed and wonder what's wrong with me, because i can't seem to ever listen enough to fix myself.

i think i'm losing my mind? it's running in circles and time is always ticking too fast. the skyscrapers are tilting towards me. please run i don't think we have much time

sometimes i just sit and think about the fact that humans are the most adaptable creatures we've ever studied and yet i can't seem to function properly... maybe it's something wrong with my programming
