It’s been an emotional week. I wanted to share this encounter I had with a very hateful man on the Pittsburgh bus because it reminds me that there are brave people in this world. Let’s all do everything we can to stand up for each other.
And always remember that Clinton won the popular vote by 1.7% points. Several presidents have won the White House with a much narrower margin.
When in the entire American history did all lives matter?!

How Zack Snyder Gets The Modern Superman Wrong by By Randall MaynardÂ
Earlier this year I was asked to teach a risograph class at the SVA Risolab. The course I developed focused on writing/drawing comics, zine production, and risograph printing. Because I moved in the middle of the semester, I ended up co-teaching the class with Patrick Crotty of PEOW! fame.Â
These are a few of the hand-out materials that I wrote for the class. The information is sort of… half there, it’s not set in stone and the hand-outs are meant to be accompanied with in-class explanation/workshops. One of the joys of risograph printing is that there’s always exceptions to the rules.. Â

Branding is perfidious, and corporate branding is the most perfidious of all - turning corporations into acceptable, even lovable parts of mainstream conversation whilst ignoring the seedy underside of their outsized influence. But I can’t deny the coolness of the mash-ups people are doing with logos. Case in point.

Over on the Comics Workbook website Jillian Fleck digs into the value you place on your comics and why bringing them to an end is crucial.Â
“Take a step back from this culture of the infinity narrative, and realize the Sisyphean mission you are volunteering for. How long do you think you could write the same story? Five years? Ten years? How strong does your passion need to be to sustain such extended output? How good are you at gritting your teeth? What do you hope to achieve by it? Iʼm not saying that there is nothing to achieve, Iʼm simply encouraging you to question this. You have the choice to finish your comic, and I would encourage you to do so.”
