Y/N couldn’t shake the events of that night from her mind. Days turned into weeks, and the memory of Jasper’s golden eyes and his unwavering protection lingered like a haunting melody. She continued her routine, but her thoughts often wandered to the mysterious vampire who had saved her. Would they see eachother again?
One crisp autumn afternoon, Y/N decided to visit the small, cozy bookstore downtown. The store was one of her favorite places, a haven of quiet and comfort. She wandered through the aisles, letting her fingers trail along the spines of books, feeling the familiar solace they offered.
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice the tall blonde figure entering the store until a soft voice broke her reverie.
“Y/N?”
She turned, her heart skipping a beat when she saw Jasper standing a few feet away. He looked as composed as ever, his eyes warm with recognition and something else—relief.
“Jasper,” she breathed, a smile spreading across her face. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
He returned the smile, his posture relaxing slightly. “I like to come here sometimes. It’s peaceful.”
They stood in a comfortable silence for a moment, the bustling world outside the bookstore forgotten. Y/N felt an inexplicable connection to Jasper, as if their brief encounter had forged an unbreakable bond.
“Would you like to join me for a coffee?” Y/N asked, surprising herself with the boldness of the invitation. “There’s a café just around the corner.”
Jasper’s smile widened. “You know, I don’t drink… that… but i’d be happy to join you darlin’.”
They left the bookstore and made their way to the café, the conversation flowing easily between them. Y/N found herself intrigued by Jasper’s quiet intensity and his old-fashioned manners. He pulled out her chair for her, a gesture that felt both charming and surreal.
As they settled at a corner table, Y/N couldn’t help but ask, “How did you know where to find me that night?”
Jasper’s expression grew serious. “My family and I were tracking James. He’s a danger to anyone who crosses his path. He had taken a particular liking to the human girl my brother Edward is dating, and desires to hunt her. It’s all a game to him. When I heard someone was in the studio, I couldn’t ignore it.”
Y/N nodded, absorbing his words. “I’m grateful you were there. But it must be difficult, living with that kind of threat.”
Jasper’s eyes softened. “It’s a part of our existence. But we do what we can to protect those who are unaware of our world.”
Y/N sipped her coffee, considering his words. “It’s hard to believe all this exists beneath the surface of our everyday lives. Vampires, supernatural threats...”
Jasper chuckled softly. “It can be overwhelming. But it’s also a reminder of how resilient humans are. How you are.”
She felt a blush rise to her cheeks at his compliment. “I don’t feel very resilient. I was terrified.”
“And yet, you’re here now,” Jasper said gently. “Facing it.”
They spent hours talking, the conversation shifting from the supernatural to more mundane topics. Y/N learned about Jasper’s love for history and literature, his struggles with his vampire nature, and his deep bond with his family. In turn, she shared her passion for ballet, her favorite books, and the dreams she held close to her heart.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the café, Y/N realized how comfortable she felt with Jasper. He wasn’t just the mysterious vampire who had saved her; he was someone she genuinely liked and wanted to know better.

Y/N found herself eagerly anticipating her next meeting with Jasper. They arranged to meet at a local park known for its serene beauty and secluded walking trails. The park was a tapestry of autumn colors, leaves crunching underfoot as Y/N made her way to their designated meeting spot.
Jasper was already there, leaning against a tree with an easy grace. He looked up as she approached, a smile lighting up his features.
"Y/N," he greeted warmly. "It's good to see you again."
"Likewise," she replied, feeling a flutter of excitement in her chest.
They began to walk along the path, the conversation picking up effortlessly from where they had left off. Jasper asked about her ballet practice, and Y/N shared stories about her recent performances and the challenges of perfecting her technique.
"And what about you?" she asked, curious. "What do you do when you're not saving people from rogue vampires?"
Jasper chuckled. "I spend a lot of time with my family. We move around quite a bit to avoid drawing attention. And I read—a lot. There's always something new to learn."
Y/N nodded, intrigued by his dedication to knowledge. "What's your favorite period in history?"
"That's a tough one," Jasper mused. "I suppose I'm particularly drawn to the Civil War era. I lived through it, and it shaped a lot of who I am today."
Y/N stopped walking, her eyes widening. "You lived through the Civil War? I mean, I know you're... well old, but that's so cool! What was it like?"
Jasper's expression grew dark. "It was a time of great turmoil and change. I was a soldier, and it was both exhilarating and devastating. It taught me a lot about humanity—both its capacity for destruction and its need to continue.”
They continued walking, Y/N absorbing his words. She found herself wanting to know everything about him, to understand the depth of his experiences and the complexities of his world.
As they neared a quiet clearing, Jasper turned to her, his gaze intense. "Y/N, I need to tell you something."
Her heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"
"Being around you, it's different. I feel a connection, something I haven't felt in a long time. But my world is dangerous. Being close to me means accepting that risk."
Y/N reached out, placing a hand on his arm. "Jasper, I can't pretend to understand everything about your world, but I do know that I feel something too. And I'm willing to face whatever comes with that."
Jasper's eyes softened, a mixture of relief and admiration in his gaze. "You're braver than you know."
They stood there for a moment, the weight of their words hanging in the air. Y/N felt a sense of determination settling in her chest. She was ready to embrace whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as it meant being with Jasper.

The ballet studio was dimly lit, the only illumination coming from the faint glow of the streetlights outside. Y/N moved gracefully along the barre, her every movement fluid and precise. She had always found solace in ballet, a way to express herself and escape from the mundane worries of life. Tonight, the studio was her sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself in the dance.
As she executed a flawless arabesque, she heard the distant sound of a door creaking open. Pausing, she glanced toward the entrance of the studio, her heart skipping a beat. Her pulse quickened when a tall, menacing figure stepped into the room, his presence filling the space with an aura of danger. His blonde hair was long, and an evil grin plastered his chiseled jaw.
He moved with a predatory grace, his eyes locking onto her with an intensity that made her blood run cold. "What a delightful surprise," he said, his voice smooth and chilling. "I was looking for someone else, but you'll do nicely. I’m James."
Before she could react, another figure burst into the studio, moving with inhuman speed and precision. This time, the man had golden eyes which were fierce, and medium length hair. He smelt of oak and cinnamon. The mystery man quickly positioned himself between Y/N and the danger.
"Get behind me," he ordered, his voice low but commanding.
“What the hell is happening? You ruined my perfect barre.” Y/N sulked, a pout covering her pretty face.
“I said, get behind me.”
Y/N had no idea what was happening, and so she instinctively trusted the intensity in his gaze. She backed away, pressing herself against the mirrored wall as the man squared off against James.
James's smile widened, showing his sharp teeth. "Two for the price of one," he hissed. "This is going to be fun, isn’t it Jasper?"
Jasper's stance shifted, his body poised like a coiled spring ready to strike. "You won't touch her, she’s human.” he growled, his voice filled with quiet fury.
“Oh Jasper, but that’s half the fun.” James mock pouted. The two vampires began to circle each other, their movements a deadly dance. Y/N watched in a mix of terror and awe as Jasper's military precision met James's raw ferocity. The air crackled with tension, the threat of violence palpable.
Suddenly, James lunged, and the room exploded into a blur of movement. Jasper met him head-on, their clash echoing through the studio. The mirrors shook, reflecting the chaotic struggle as they grappled, each trying to gain the upper hand.
Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as she watched the fierce battle. She had never felt so helpless, so vulnerable. But then, in the midst of the chaos, she saw something extraordinary. Jasper's movements became more fluid, more controlled. A feeling of calm washed over the room. How did that happen?
With a final, powerful blow and barred teeth, Jasper sent James crashing into the barre, breaking it in half. The defeated vampire snarled but didn't attempt to rise. Instead, he slinked back, eyes burning with hatred.
"This isn't over," James spat, his gaze flickering to Y/N before he retreated, disappearing into the night.
The studio fell silent, the only sound the ragged breathing of the combatants. Jasper turned to Y/N, his expression softening.
"Are you alright?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.
Y/N nodded, her legs trembling from the adrenaline. "Yes, thank you. What was that about?”
Jasper offered a small, reassuring smile. "Don’t worry about it darlin’, you’re safe now. Want me to walk you home?”
As they stepped into the cool night air, Jasper stayed close to Y/N, his presence a comforting shield against the lingering fear. The streets were eerily quiet, the distant hum of traffic the only sound.
"Where do you live?" Jasper asked gently.
"Just a few blocks from here," Y/N replied, her voice still shaky.
They walked in silence for a while, the tension of the encounter gradually easing with each step. Y/N couldn't help but steal glances at Jasper, still amazed by how he had come to her rescue.
"Thank you," she said finally, breaking the silence. "For everything."
Jasper looked at her, his eyes softening. "It's my duty to protect the innocent. I'm just glad I was there in time."
As they reached her apartment building, Y/N felt a pang of reluctance at the thought of parting ways. "Will I see you again?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jasper's smile was warm and reassuring. "I'll make sure of it. You're part of our world now, and we take care of our own.” He handed her a note with his number on it. “For emergencies ma’am.” He winked, and with a final nod, he watched as she entered her building, waiting until she was safely inside before turning away.

The night was dense with fog, the kind that clung to your skin and turned every breath into a veil of chill. Task Force 141 had been sent deep into hostile territory, their mission clear: retrieve critical intel and get out. You were embedded with them, a vital part of the team. Captain Price led the way, his presence a solid reassurance in the murk. Ghost, Soap, and Gaz moved like shadows, each step calculated, every sound absorbed by the oppressive darkness.
You had the rear, scanning for any sign of threat, nerves on edge. Suddenly, the crack of a gunshot shattered the silence. Then the force of the bullet slamming into your side. Pain exploded through your body, and you fell to the ground, gasping for air. The world started to spin, edges blurring as you struggled to stay conscious. How had it happened so quick? Where were they? Why had nobody noticed?
"Man down!" Gaz's voice cut through the haze, urgency sharp in his tone.
Price was at your side in an instant, his eyes fierce with determination. "We've got you Viper, stay with us," he commanded, pressing his hands against the growing wound on your stomach to staunch the bleeding.
More shots wrung out as Ghost and Soap take out the last of the enemies in the area. They flank you, their eyes scanning the perimeter for the shooter. "Oi! Soap, cover us! Ghost, get her ready for exfil!" Price barked, his voice a lifeline in the chaos.
Soap moved to cover, his weapon ready, eyes cold and focused. Ghost knelt beside you, his normally stoic mask cracking with worry. "Hold on, love," he murmured, his voice soft enough that only you could hear. "We're getting you out of here." He grabbed your arm, keeping you stable. He promised you he’d protect you. And he failed.
When you looked down, you groaned. “Fucking ‘ell thats a lot of blood.” Your hands were painted a sickly crimson red from pressuring the wound.
Your vision darkened, the pain becoming a distant throb. Though, you could just make out Ghosts eyes behind the mask, a mixture of fear and protectiveness.
Gaz returned, his face grim. “LZ is hot, but it’s the only way. We need to move now.”
Price lifted you with a grunt, the pain sparking fresh agony through your body. “Stay with me viper.”
Each step was a struggle, every movement a battle against the encroaching darkness. You could feel your strength ebbing away, the world becoming a distant echo. Ghost’s hand remained on your arm, his touch a constant reassurance.
Soap and Gaz took point, their movements precise, deadly even. Every shot was more accurate than the last, determined to get you home safe, a vow to get you home alive. Price’s jaw clenched as they reached the exfil, his jaw set in determination.
Finally, the helicopter loomed ahead, a beacon in the night sky. They hustled you inside, the roar of blades a deafening epiphany. Yet you couldn’t hear them. You couldn’t hear anything.
Your consciousness continued to dip, vision turning blacker than the world outside. Ghost continued to grip your arm, keeping you stable. “You’re going to make it Viper, not long now. We can’t lose you.” You heard the underlying message. He couldn’t lose you.
The others hung nearby, their eyes never leaving your face. Soap and Gaz took defensive positions, their focus split between the enemies and their fallen girl.
The two medics onboard worked frantically, but you could feel yourself slipping further. “Oi, stay with us Viper!” Ghost muttered once he saw your eyes begin to roll back.
The last thing you saw before the darkness claimed you was their faces, a mixture of love and worry. The group showed raw, clear emotion. Ghosts deadly grip on your arm, Price’s intense gaze, Soap’s protective stance and Gaz’s unwavering focus. You knew you were in safe hands.
And so you shut your eyes.
In the days that followed, you drifted in and out of consciousness, the pain a constant reminder of the hardships of your job. Save the world, and sacrifice yourself whilst doing so. However, your stomach was beginning to heal. Not without a nasty scar though.
Every time you opened your eyes, you saw atleast one of them there. A constant companion. They never left you, a constant reminder of the unbreakable bond you had all formed.
