This is my first time writing in a long time and my first ever fanfic! - This story will be written in multiple parts; it will be based around my character Lucy and is loosely based / introduced by Season 6, Episode 1 - Straw. This chapter is fairly long as my brain is still trying to work with where i want the story to develop and how in depth i can get my brain to go with each of the characters and their relationships.
Please note, Opie is alive, some characters may be in different situations and some other new characters may be added / removed for this story to fit / run as i want it too.
Lucy woke up feeling better than she had the night before. Now she knew what she was going to do, she just didn’t know how it would play out. She sat up in bed sighing, shuffling out of the covers and padding out of the back room. She saw Piney who had probably been awake since the first bird call.
“Sleep ok?” He asked passing her a mug of coffee.
“Actually i did, thanks Pops” she smiled and sat on the arm of the chair.
He was about to settle next to her when he unclipped his shotgun from under the table and cocked it at the door.
A few seconds later the door opened and Clay stepped into the room.
“Jesus, you crazy old fool! You expecting someone else?” He asked taking a step back
“Should i be?” Piney questioned
Clay shrugged and sat down. “I need a favour”
“Shoot” Lucy said
Piney chuckled getting the comment but he’d lowered his gun earlier.
“You surely can’t need something from our Lucy now, can you Prez? So what do you want?” Piney shook his head
“Actually Piney, that’s exactly why im here. I don’t care what Wayne talked to you about yesterday, we have enough club heat without worrying about what the chief has to say about past heat. We’ll be having more business coming through soon, from multiple charters and clubs. I’m going to need some help keeping them all…” Clay rolled his hand in the air as if summoning a word “...occupied”
“The fact you have the audacity to even ask me that shows how fucking desperate you must be, but that’s not the reason i’m declining this, the reason is i’m not in the game anymore. That isn’t my life- it never was, and i ain’t doing it.” Lucy said, cool and controlled.
She stood up and kissed Piney on the cheek as she passed and grabbed Tig’s keys.
It had been a month since Clay had brought up that proposition and all he’d managed to convince Lucy to do was help man the bar. Which wasn’t even technically his idea, she’d been doing it for weeks before the business started picking up. She had started getting friendly with a few guys from other charters, simply because they didn’t grope her or undress her with their eyes; at least not when she was looking. There’d already been disruption over her when a guy from the San Bernadino charter decided he wanted more than his corona. She didn’t think Chib’s could move so quickly, she just seen the guy teeter then drop to the floor. She couldn’t help but laugh, then and now at the memory of it.
SAMCRO parties were already a regular occurrence but now they were bigger, way bigger. Sometimes so big they would split across the clubhouse and Diosa. This meant some nights she was at Diosa with Nero and Lyla, or at the clubhouse with the guys. She didn’t mind either, she knew if it came to it she’d be able to handle herself. Piney sometimes came a long to keep an eye on her as well as enjoy the particular company of a few long served crow eaters. She’d bring him a few beers, talk to him in between serving shots in the crowd and serving club members from the bar.
“Hey doll, I’m heading back, you know there’s a free bed should you need it.” Piney told Lucy across the bar. She nodded and waved her goodbye.
At the end of her shift she packed the remaining bottles into recycling and washed down the bar.
“You thought any more on my proposition?” Clay asked, moving into view from the corner of the bar. “You’d be paid, paid beautifully might I add.”
“Bribery won’t work on me Clay.” Lucy threw down the wash cloth.
“Yeah. Guess I should've known, never worked when you were a kid either. Worked on Jax and Opie every time.” He smirked to himself.
Lucy allowed herself a small smile as she too remembered how easy it was to bribe and coerce the guys into doing just about anything.
“Out of curiosity and simply because you don’t seem to be leaving any time soon, what would this proposal entail?” She leant forward on the bar facing him.
“You do what you want to do Lucy, that’s why this is so perfect. Club members, fellow traders and businessmen, keep them occupied by doing whatever you want, as far as you’re willing to go. That way they’re happier with the perks of business with SAMCRO.” He lifted his hands in the air, as if it was that easy and so obvious.
“This been brought up in Church? Or is this another undercut of the kuttes that protect you? Big mistake if that’s the case.” She shook her head.
“Not yet, but they will do what’s necessary for this club.” He responded
“None of the guys will sign off on this, and you know it, which is why you’re bringing it up with me again and not them.” Lucy shrugged.
“I’ve given up with the bribe, but still, could you not use the money, I don't care if you stay or not as long as you’re not the cause of anymore club heat or attention. I just figured you’d want to be out of here by now.” He looked at her questioningly.
“I don’t know Clay, Charming’s not exactly my first, or last choice but it was certainly a surprise to know I was this close to home when i was in hell in Stockton. Shit happens and has happened. Time to leave now, I'll think about it.” She nodded towards the door.
“You shouldn’t do that, you’ll hurt yourself.” He laughed and walked out of Diosa.
Lucy shook her head. That man had no idea who he was dealing with now - still viewing her as the naive junkie’s daughter.

So I finally got back into writing after way too long, pre wrote a few chapters, so one will be posted soon - work, sickness and life in general gets in the way and some days are harder than others but thankyou followers for hanging on. Much love, E.
