people taking kevin’s “if you tell him to submit, he will” at face value and not seeing that tsc is about literally proving the opposite,,, like how can you read the books and not see that jean is naturally very demanding and does not like being told what to do and he’s very quick to refuse AND his very first instinct is to fight. how can you not understand that kevin’s words are not about who jean is but what the nest made him out to be? that it took everything in jean to “submit” just to survive? because he did fight. for five whole months. but it brought nothing but more pain.

I love heated rivalry and I love Hudson and Connor, but we do need to adress how this fandom clearly represents how men will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, be praised for doing something that a woman did before and was deeply hated for it.

Cynthia has a girlfriend and is super close with Ariana. People assumed Cynthia was cheating on her girlfriend.

Hudson has a girlfriend and the media posts some pictures where he is super close to other woman. People say we should respect their privacy and not speculate about other people's relationship.

Gabi Moura was invited to model on a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The internet complained on how "they were inviting tiktokers" to model, called her fat, and how she didn't deserve it because she wasn't prepared for it.

Hudson was invited to model on the Milan Fashion Week. The internet only talked about how handsome he looked and "oh, maybe his walk wasn't that great but hey! no judging right?"

Again, I am NOT hating on Hudson and Connor, I love them, they are amazing and totally deserve everything that they achieved. The point of this post is to talk about how women are and always were the most hated gender, and no matter what they do, people will always hate on us.

Let. The. Girls. Be. Imperfect.

I'm always joking about Lily being perfect, but honestly, they don't always need to be the "queen, girlboss who stands for herself and knows she's better than everyone else," because that's not how people work. Let the girls be real, let the girls have flaws just like the boys. Let them say the wrong things sometimes, let them mess up. Let them be human. And let's normalize, not villainize, them just for it. When the boys show just a little development, everyone kisses their feet.

Let them be mean and angry and petty. Let them cry over things they shouldn’t care about or hold grudges for too long. Let them make bad decisions out of fear or selfishness. Let them be complicated and messy and everything that makes a character feel alive.

We celebrate male characters for being morally grey/antiheroes and for having arcs full of mistakes and redemption. Why can’t girls have the same? Why can’t they stumble and fall, and be loved anyway? Let them struggle with jealousy or insecurity. Let them hurt people and then try (imperfectly) to make it right.

And when they grow, when they learn, let it feel earned. Let their development be messy, nonlinear, and human. Let them be everything that makes a real person, not just a symbol of perfection or empowerment. Because real strength doesn’t come from being flawless—it comes from the courage to be imperfect and still keep going. That's a girlboss.
