Sometimes you need to take a minute and appreciate some beauty. I planted this lilac bush 13 years ago. Sadly, I missed the full blooming, but it is still gorgeous. 

I was gone for 5 days back to Maine to meet my new granddaughter (too damn precious!) and checked in on this lilac. Thankfully, my ex’s wife appreciates it as much as I did. 

So for today, appreciate the beauty around you. It will boost your mood - and isn’t that just one piece of self care?
