As much as I want to believe that the hive is evolving and falling in love with carol, because as far as we know carol is the only one of the 13 that has a background in creating something and the hive as much as it want to follow it biological imperative wants to discover new ideas and thoughts, but part of me looks back to the 12’s family members and how the hive is using them to basically create an air of normalcy for them and the scene where Koumba has that party in the westgate, the scene seemed so organic and natural that without the knowledge of the previous episodes I would’ve been convinced. So isn’t it possible through the 11 and Koumba combined the Hive is evolving in a way that isn’t in a good direction, but that it’s learning how to act how carol wants it to be so the “I’s” and the “my’s” and the struggling with the pronouns aren’t as genuine as we want to believe them to be but are intentional. Plus I think Carol is playing the long game I don’t think she is genuinely falling for the hives it’s all an act. Like god this show is good and I could talk about it for hours the amount of conflicting feelings I have for this show is insurmountable!
