I love the end of Twister where the giant deadly tornado very conveniently gives Jo and Bill enough time to run around aimlessly in a field for several minutes just whipping random shit at them until they conveniently find shelter right before the tornado appears again

and then the second the tornado spits Jo and Bill back out and they survive, it immediately dissipates and there’s a bright sunny sky and a rainbow

and how Jo and Bill literally survived being inside the tornado but immediately start bickering about tornado data instead of like, LITERALLY doing anything else after almost dying

I love this movie though 😍🌪✨

I'm weirdly obsessed with the film Twister - partly because it helped me overcome a morbid fear of tornados (now I just have a perfectly normal fear of them), but also because it's so bad it's good - and I'm especially obsessed with how every time a tornado interacts directly with Jo and Bill, it just dissipates, which proves that the two of them together constitute some kind of weather god

also the Coplandesque theme tune near the beginning really fucks

This is one of my favorite posts because that cat’s fucking name is fucking meatloaf

Let us just appreciate that this person’s dad didn’t know when they would be home and so he couldn’t plan for them to be able to join the family for dinner, but he knew with no doubts that dear sweet Meatloaf staying in that exact position for hours was an absolute in this scenario. Truly, that cat was named well.
