My 3rd hike in the Ouachita Mountains! This time we went a bit farther. 40 miles total! It poured all day Saturday from the minute we woke up till after we went to bed. But we made it, and it was a great success! RIP Vanilla... I had to say goodbye to my mustang this week. It was a very sad thing for me to do. She was my car for 11 years, and she was only 80 miles shy of 200,000, almost all of which we drove together. Over 1/3 of my life was in that car. We saw most of the country together. She treated me like a king the whole way through. A drive around the lake with the windows rolled down was one of the best cures for any type of mood and one of my favorite things to do, and Lord knows we took too many of those to count. I know she was just a car, and this post might seem silly, but she was my car, and she was a grand car indeed. I will miss her very much.... This is my favorite picture of Vanilla.
