Snow wasn’t new, no, but this snow felt it.
They lay across the ground, thin body frozen as they gazed up at the canopy of the trees above. One arm strewn across their uniform-clad chest, the other outstretched, wrist bent upwards to the sky as thin digits balanced a blatantly against the rules cigarette.
Saeran knew how they would look if one were to come across them this way, but right then they couldn’t bring themselves to care. The snow that bit through their clothes, bare legs certainly beyond burning as the dress code breaking skirt rode up, all of that was long forgotten as they brought the nicotine back towards their chapped lips.
A deep inhale that had their eyes fluttering closed.
Saeran wasn’t sure how long it had been since they were able to have a moment like this. With the trip and everything else going on it was so difficult. And with the growing need for something to curb the constant stress that they felt, their hands often shook. Today the shakes had become unbearable. Saeran just needed a cigarette. If someone caught him…
Well…
At that point, he was beyond caring. Hogwarts wasn’t any more fantastical then their own school, and he personally didn’t understand the hype. The only difference was the accents were just a tad bit more unbearable. Saeran was, however, particularly interested in the forest that lay within walking distance of where they froze. It had been beaten into the students not to delve into the woods, but Saeran was curious.
As eyes opened, hoping to catch a glimpse of a creature that might live within the greenery, they were instead met with a familiar form looming over them.
The cigarette placed between their lips as they pushed their body into a sitting positioned, shaking their hair just a touch to rid it of any clinging snow.
“So, how are we liking the fancy euro school?” He asked, holding the contraband between their teeth. @wyhoseok
Hoseok had been looking for his friend for a while now, slowly beginning to lose hope that he would find them. The grounds of Hogwarts were massive and without owls it was impossible to communicate. And though the brunet liked to believe that the two of them were close enough to have some sort of telepathic connection at this point, that wasn’t an actual thing. ‘I’ll probably be outside’ had been vague and despite things being slightly easier to spot in the white snow that covered his surroundings, he’d been walking for a good while before his gaze fell on the figure lying in the snow.
The boy hesitantly moved closer -- knowing fully well that in an unfamiliar place like this, anything could be dangerous. But then he caught sight of the familiar colors of the Ilvermorny robes and soon after the pale legs that stuck out underneath a skirt. A soft smile of fondness tugged at the corners of his lips, though he also couldn’t help but worry. They looked peaceful but cold. He was about to speak up when Saeran’s eyes opened, causing Hoseok to let out a soft breath of relief.
He was a soft person and despite knowing his best friend was semi capable of taking care of themself, the male couldn’t help but try and look after them. Seeing Saeran lying in the freezing cold, especially in a skirt that barely covered their legs, made him anxious.
“You’re going to get frostbite or something...” He muttered in his quiet voice, ignoring the other’s question and shrugging his robe off to drape it over Saeran’s lap. His uniform wasn’t exactly made for the cold, but that didn’t stop him from kneeling down and tucking the robe around his friend’s legs.
His eyes briefly met his friend’s, his brows furrowed. “I know you’re trying to hide that,” He gave a nod in the direction of the cigarette. “But I’d appreciate it if you could at least take some responsibility for your health. Less snow angels, more quality time by a fireplace with your cute best friend.” Hoseok grinned softly. “Now stop making me mother you, you brat.”
