REPOSTING STATEMENT:

I don’t have much of a following on this account, but I thought I would at least make a statement for those who do care.

I DO NOT! allow permission to anyone to repost any of my artwork, whether it is a full piece or merely a sketch. The only one who has this permission is ME.

I was informed that an account by the name of @/marywithachance on TikTok was not only reposting my artwork, but claiming it as theirs. She messaged me claiming the original artist on tumblr (me) gave her permission to do so.

I did not.

When I asked for picture proof, they didn’t respond. They went and deleted all the posts and put their account as private. I can only hope that this will be the end of catching the thief.

What is most upsetting to me is having my hard work being claimed by someone else, considering I already struggle to get inspiration to draw and am constantly met with artist block. Also, people unfortunately believing that it’s their artwork when it’s already hard enough to get engagement as the original artist.

I doubt this is going to reach out to people if any. I just wanted to post a written statement on rules about reposting my artwork and shaming the person who was stealing it.

Thank you for listening, I hope this doesn’t happen again. I will meet you all again with new artwork soon :)
