reasons i wholeheartedly believe teru is intentionally queercoded:

1. heart eye panel

2. most mob psycho characters are a parody of some sort of common shonen trope (reigen as a parody of mentors and dimple as a parody of cutesy mascot characters in particular come to mind) and, using this logic, it follows that teru would be a parody of the “homoerotic shonen rivalry” trope, and the easiest way to parody that would be to take out all the “rivalry” and just leave the “homoerotic” part while still making him insist he’s his rival.

3. seriously how do you accidentally crosshatch a heart why else would it be there
