One doesn't simply 'forget' things, normal people subconsciously distinguish what is useful information from what isn't. You see, I don't do that. I remember everything and well, I'm not normal.
A parachute floats down to Xander in the early morning before the Feast announcement. It contains a bottle of cream for his sunburn and a note that reads:

Injuries: Burn on leg left and arm (bandaged and healing slowly), concussion and cut on arm.
Company: A big belly Buddha
Developments: Saw people and went as far away from them as possible, I had no intentions of dying today. Found a friend in a golden Buddha whom I hope will give me good luck. Apart from that I'm slowly being fried in the heat which musn't be good for my complexion.
With half the building collapsed and the water level rising, I was guessing that the Gamemaker's were bored and wanted us to kill each other more. With three tributes dying on the second day compared to the first day, I could imagine them being fairly bored. I can't imagine why watching teenagers kill each other would be enjoyable but those Capitol folk are strange...
Through the tree branches I could see the body of another tribute which I didn't feel like encountering. I removed myself from the tree and continued North where I got a nice view of the collapsed part of the temple and the avalanche that half scared me to death. The further I walked the closer a large golden statue got. At first I thought it another mutt so I was apprehensive, but I soon recognised it to be a Buddha. I'd read a lot about Buddha's and Buddhism (despite the fact that it was extremely illegal and I'd probably be killed if authorities knew) I thought it was a very though provoking religion. It was as beauty as the books described it. I rubbed the belly of the Buddha slowly remembering that it was good luck. I'd always though luck and forgetfulness were trivial things but right now I hoped that it would help me get home no matter how silly I felt feeling the Buddha's belly up.

Developments: Had to fight an eight foot Samurai version of Gemma which proved to be a lot more difficult that imagined. Left the temple because of the fear of being buried alive in it. Find a comfy spot in a cherry blossom tree and is debating his next move.
I Didn't Know You Got Samurai's in District Seven || Day Two One Shot
It'd been a while, my leg was still throbbing from the burn and after hearing the explosion earlier and the cannons, I was actually starting to get worried. After seeing Krister and Brefina's amongst them, I felt alone. I've been left with a whip I don't really know how to use and a blowtorch which terrifies me. There aren't many things that could make this experience worse but then again, I'd spoken too soon.
An explosion had rocked the temple and I could feel my heart rate increasing, everything was happening so fast. The wooden beams above me shook violently and for a second I thought they were going to collapse and crush me but they didn't, I was safe for now. I took the socks from my pack, tore the fabric and bandaged it around my ankle and stood up, I'd been here for too long.
I was just about the door when I heard heavy footsteps behind me. At first I thought I was hallucinating because I was 100 percent sure that there was nobody else in the room apart from me. I continued walking only to be taken off of my feet and land on my head hard. There was a ringing in my eyes, my vision fuzzy, limbs heavy and a dark looming object stood above me. It was a strange thing, over eight feet in height, huge but with delicate facial features. Long dark hair spilled out of the side of its helmet and it had large, brown eyes that reminded me of Gemma. This was strange. Out of everyone in the arena, I’d never suspected Gemma to be a katana-yielding Samurai. I didn’t even know you got Samurai’s in District Seven.
I barely had time to react when the Samurai lifted its massive foot obviously trying to crush my chest but I rolled away and stood on one knee and stabbed the samurai in the foot only for it to kick me in the chest with the other one. I really should have thought about that. Gemma had gotten strong, really strong; death had done wondrous things to her. I hit my back on beam and struggled to get back up again. I felt at my chest, and it was painful, a throbbing pain, it felt like I’d broken a rib or even maybe too. With a katana in her hand, she looked like she wanted to stab me. I dodged most of the advances, some with skill, others good luck. She moved it grace, elegance and in an almost superhuman like way. It took me a while to realise that she wasn’t really the same person anymore, whatever had made her her, or her soul maybe seemed to have been taken over and twisted so it was eviler and put into a Samurai form sent to kill me. A very interesting and intelligent idea, I made a mental not to compliment the Gamemaker’s again on said concept, it really was good.
Ducking in time to stop the katana from decapitating me, which obviously wouldn’t have been nice, I watched it lodge into the wood and the Samurai look confused as it tried to yank it free, it was almost humorous to watch. I fumbled in my pack pulling out the one thing I hated the most out of it and aimed the blow torch in the direction of the Samurai. At first the only thing to catch was the leg and it soon spread and it took a while for the Samurai to realise it was on fire and abandon its quest to pull the katana out. I try to stand up and fall back onto the floor; I was guessing I had a concussion because I threw up soon after. The thing was now completely on fire and barrelling straight towards me. I crawled back and pulled out one of my knives aiming for its face and threw it. The Samurai fell to the ground with a loud crash and I was still wondering if it was it or whether they were going to send more out, I honestly thought one was enough to traumatise me.
A black substance seeped through the wound in its eye and the fire slowly dying out I sat back, my chest heaving. It definitely wasn’t safe in here. I limped out of the room and went east and climbed over the side of the building and leaned my head against the wooden boards of the building and looked over at the cherry blossom tree in front of me and wondering if I would be turned into a Samurai if or when I died in this arena.

He sounded so proper when he spoke and it made me smile even more, he was pretty cute, piercing blue eyes and wavy brown hair. I nodded and handed him some tape and walked to the mat and stood waiting for him. He was one of the shortest guys here but still over six inches taller than me and weighed perhaps a lot more, he’d have strength that was sure but I guess I’d have to use it against him if anything.
I didn't really want to fight the girl, my mother always taught me that hitting a girl was rude and disgraceful, especially for a boy. It seemed as I was going to have to break my mother's rule.
"My father says I have no filter when I speak and sometimes when I'm expressing my thoughts, opinions and feelings about or to other people they can get annoyed or aggravated with me and want to hit me. One time I got hit pretty bad so he suggested I learnt to defend myself for when it happened again. So yeah, a bit. I assume you have because of your academy?"
