Someone was just telling me how the real reason people hate pineapple pizza is probably that most restaurants just sprinkle the pizza with blocky wet pineapple chunks when the original style recipe called for paper thin slices that quickly caramelize in the oven, giving the pizza a gooey sweetness that blends smoothly into the tangier acidity of the tomatoes. They are after all both fruit.
And I actually did like pineapple on pizza, but I only ever had it served to me as the chunks, and NOW that looks gross in comparison to that description.
In the end, if children bother you for sensory reasons and that's why you don't want them to be in the same public spaces as you, there are disabled adults who can and would cause the same sensory issues for you. Adults who are loud, who vocally stim, who have poor boundaries, poor hygiene, who cry in public, etc etc etc. And they're already socially ostracized for all of this.
So actually yeah, it's the bare minimum you can do for the group with the least human rights on the planet to figure out how to accept children as part of your public community without hating them for it, even if you are child-free yourself.
Haha, no, shut up your crotch goblins or get off the plane.
I am child free. I do not have children. Grow the fuck up, get the fuck over yourself. The world is bigger than you. You are not the main character. I'd rather deal with a million kids than one grown asshole who acts like this on purpose.
jesus no
I hate the “we should have child free cafes but not dog free cafes” and the “kids shouldn’t be out in public” shit that’s getting popular again cause whenever you ask them why they hate kids they say their loud annoying etc.
Just because another person is inconvenient for you doesn’t mean they don’t get to exist in public.
Or they use their own disabilities or trauma to justify their hatred of kids; sensory issues, "I was nearly killed by kids", "I had to raise kids as a kid" etc etc as if your own disabilities or trauma would ever justify excluding any other group of human beings from a public space. As soon as you make it about an adult minority group, people get it, but they don't with kids.

It is so so important to show that queer people have always existed and are allowed to live long, happy lives. Young queer people–especially those in conservative areas–need to know that being queer is not a death sentence. Despite the many struggles we have faced, throughout history there have always been queer lives filled with joy and love. and you will find yours.
Beautifully, I’ve just discovered the photographer has all of these images available on their website to view:

Anecdotes by medical practitioners
“A woman came in for a baby check with her 6-month-old and she had what looked like chocolate milk in the baby’s bottle. So he started explaining to her as kindly as he could that she shouldn’t be giving her baby chocolate milk. At which point she interrupts him and says, ‘Oh that isn’t chocolate milk. It’s coffee! He just loves it!”
“I had a patient come in for an STD check. She was very upset and continued to tell me that she only had one partner. Progressing through my assessment, she further divulged that even if he was sleeping with other people it shouldn’t matter ‘because he uses a condom every time and he makes sure to wash it thoroughly after every use’.”
“Had a lady who measured her baby’s temperature by pre-heating the oven and putting one hand in front of it while the other hand was on the baby’s forehead. She told the nurse her baby’s fever was about 250 degrees.”
“Lady has to have foot amputated and is given waiver forms to sign pre-op. Buddy asks if she needs time to think about it. She’s very nonchalant and doesn’t seem to care much what they do. He gets suspicious and probes a bit as to why she’s not more concerned. She says she gets that they have to operate and it’s OK because the foot will grow back.”
“I had a couple who had been trying to conceive for over two years. I asked all the usual questions, how often do you have sex, any previous pregnancy, etc etc. Something seemed off to me during the consult, so I continued to ask questions. Finally I asked if he ejaculated while inserted into the vagina. Both parties looked confused.Turns out the couple was not having insertional sex at all. I had to awkwardly explain to them how insertional sex works. Diagrams were required.”
"Patient comes in, she’s upset. She’s pregnant, and she doesn’t understand why. She’s on the pill. Upon talking to her at great length, I find out that she only takes the pills on the days that she is sexually active – no other time.”
"Patient comes in with her bf. They are indignant, as if somehow I could’ve prevented [the pregnancy]. The problem? Well, the pills were bothering the girl’s stomach, so, being a gallant bf, he decided to start taking them instead.”
“I was explaining the treatment to the husband of a patient about to be discharged. He kept nodding and agreeing with me, but I knew it was flying over his head. Turned out a fundamental problem was that I was describing the drugs as ‘tablets’ and he had no clue what those were.”

Oh my god… I can’t decide if I should laugh or cry…
People sometimes doubt the that standardised health and sex education is necessary. This is why those people are wrong.
