Small Announcement
I’ve not written, made and published pictures for this project as diligently over the past few days. Last week was always going to be tricky - a birthday in the middle of the week, anniversary of the death of a dear one the day after...
Right now I’m quite tired and easily distracted. I’ve given myself even more work to do. In doing these posters I find myself becoming increasingly involved with a political party.
I’m also planning a new series of work which will be exhibited in the next month or so. It’s all hand stitched embroidery, a different process from this. Inevitably there are cross overs. I keep adding slogan-like phrases into the embroidery cartoons. More about that elsewhere.
I should say that I’m not putting Useful Tactics down.
Not yet.
Instead I’m going to do a bit less, maybe three to five posts a week. The pressure I started putting on myself with this project bore down on me to the point where it became a chore. I want to keep it fresh and purposeful, the daily frequency was perhaps diluting the importance of this work. It’s meant to jolt people into thinking about what’s going on around them.
I may well start up again with daily pictures after the exhibition. Or else I’ll do some special months and so forth. Advent Slogans spring to mind.
So then the next slogan I put up will be number 100.
Ach it might mean doing more than one. Oh well.
Thank you for reading and continue to enjoy these pictures - which will continue to happen just a little less often.
Slogan 100a Slogan 100!
