How there are some people who are very clearly intelligent, who have critical thinking skills, who know how to tell right from wrong, who know how to be a decent human being AND YET they STILL are lazy enough to turn to using AI instead of learning draw/write/sing or hiring/commissioning someone who actually does know how to do any of that.

How can you be so intelligent and yet so gullible? So lazy? So stupid?

AI is actively killing us and the planet. AI is actively making us heavily reliant on it so we can no longer think for ourselves. AI cheats real people out of potential jobs that could maybe help support them just a teensy bit more in this worsening hellscape of ours.

It's sad. It's disappointing. It's disgusting. It is pathetic is every possible way.

Be better, for fuck's sake. You literally know how to be better.

getting scambot messages from random accounts that clearly used to be normal active blogs is sad enough. you know that there used to be a real person on that blog until they were tricked into handing their password to the digital fae.

but it's an entirely new level of tragic when somebody you've actually spoken to gets turned into a bot account. it's like peeking at a zombie apocalypse through the window and realizing one of the shambling corpses was your friend.

and then the zombie catches sight of you, lurches up to your window, and shouts through the glass that they accidentally reported your account to tumblr and you'll be deactivated unless you click this link.

RIP to the blog that used to DM me to tell me they liked my new chapters. Their last known words spoken before being turned, 17 hours ago: "Ggs!" They were praising someone's deadlift.

the message they tried to get me with is probably the same message that got them, so for anybody who hasn't already been warned about the signs of a zombie account:

if you get something like this ↑ they're gonna follow up by instructing you to contact tumblr support on discord and give you contact info; or they're gonna link a website that looks sort of like tumblr support and say you have to email them; or any variety of "you must now contact tumblr, here is how you contact tumblr."

whatever they send you, it Does Not lead to tumblr. it leads to the master zombie that bit them and inducted them into the ranks of the undead, and will bite you the second they have your email and password. i might be confusing zombies and vampires. anyway,

it's easier to fall for these messages because the blog doesn't LOOK like a bot blog, because it ISN'T a bot blog. it's a normal person's blog that got accessed by a bot, meaning the blog's content CLEARLY looks like a real active user when you click on it. and yes—it might even be a blog you already know. sometimes bots like this go down a blog's DMs or reblogs and message people they've previously interacted with.

they got one of my treasured followers, and they can get you too. don't fall for their tricks. know the signs.

Do you want to know what really really pisses me off?

When people claim they aren't racist, that they aren't transphobic, that they aren't any kind of horrible thing. And yet, how they act completely contradicts that. They have the label that they aren't, yet the completely act like it.

For example, I was scrolling through the comments for a cool piece of art for a specific thing that I won't name cause spoilers, and the art was of a character who is trans. Who has been confirmed to be trans by both the thing they are in and the creator who made them.

People were using the correct pronouns, which made me very happy. What didn't, however, was one person (maybe a couple) that was going out of their way to try to "correct" people by telling then to use the character's old pronouns. When the comments tried to correct them and tell them that "that's incorrect, the character is trans," the person continued to deny it. Getting increasingly more rude as they did.

And it pisses me off because, in their bio, they very explicitly say they aren't a whole bunch of bad things, including transphobic. But then they are over here in this comment section being transphobic. It makes me so incredibly angry.

If you are someone who does that, who says you aren't transphobic or any other kind of horrible thing like that, but you actually act that, unfollow me or reveal yourself so I can get rid of you myself by blocking you. That behavior is unbelievably childish and pathetic. And when I say you are terrible person for do that, I fucking mean it. You are a terrible person.

Do us all a favor and get off the Internet. You aren't needed, you aren't wanted. Go either learn to be better or continue to be a miserable piece of existence.

"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.

Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".

The sketch took me a couple of days, but I somehow did the line art, coloring, and shading all today. Which is crazy because each metal bit has like four to five colors for their shading. 😭

It scares me how fast I can be sometimes.
