Olivia’s silent for a moment, examining Ronnie’s features carefully, pursing her lips in quiet contemplation. “You’re going to have to ask her about that, but suffice it to say she’s been through a lot. If you are who you say you are, I have no reason to doubt you, but unfortunately things aren’t that simple anymore.”

Olivia’s concerned face appears just seconds after grace calls. “Grace? What’s wrong?”

“Olivia–” Grace is quick to move over and hug her best friend. Right now – she needs safety and, while anyone would think she’d go to Cliff for that – Grace is much more comfortable going to Olivia.

“I’ve just had a man corner me with a gun.”

“I’m afraid I’m in the middle of a case at the moment, but if you come back later I can…oh…I’m sorry I didn’t realize we had anybody new in town. Can I help you with something?”

“Actually, I was going to ask you the same. I just … this is a lovely, lovely place but I’m used to the pace of journalism and if I don’t find something to do I may very well lose my mind. Can I be of any help, in literally any way at all?”

"Well if you're interested in journalism, the editor of our paper could probably use some help. He's balancing multiple jobs at the moment so I'm sure there'll be something you can help him with. I could give him a call if you'd like."
