“So I just got done reading this book called Last Night I sang to the Monster and I have legit been like a leaky faucet all day and I’m really emotional and I feel like crap and then there’s this lock down and I just want to sit in a corner and sleep. I just want some food, a cuddle buddy, and maybe a distraction.”
“Well you know that I’m always here for you for any of that.”
He wasn’t entirely sure why he’d agreed to come – he had the hours after all, and certainly this would have wreaked havoc, knowing how school events seemed to operate as it was. But part of him wasn’t entirely sure if staying home would have been the brightest idea, and going thirty hours without sleeping certainly wouldn’t have been difficult with the help he had as it was. “S-so..” His eyes landed on the person closest to him in the vicinity. “Do we j-just um, have to do w-whatever until the thirty hours are up?”
“I’d be okay with that.” Michael shrugged, “I mean, it’s better than having to go participate in icebreaker games or something.”
Eli had been trying to decide whether it was worth it or not to take part in the lock-in. He knew he could easily forge the hours without attending but he didn’t want to miss out on anything. His mother helped in the decision, explaining that she was hosting a fancy dinner with her work friends - practically forcing her son to stay out for the night so Eli knew he was better off going.
As he finally dragged himself to the school gates he met up with a fellow class mate, “am I the only one hating this already?” He let out a sigh as he walked alongside them and inside school grounds.
“Then why’d you agree to come?” Michael raised an eyebrow, opening the door to the school.
“I’m tired already.”

Matt: How are you supposed to get rid of painters block?
Matt: I haven't painted or drawn anything in days and I have a gallery opening not too long from now and it's really been stressing me out.

Michael had been sitting quietly, working on a math assignment for quite a while now. Most people probably would of been able to guess that it was math due to the confused expression on his face. At the sound of Aaliyah’s voice, he quickly looked up, more than happy to have a reason not to stare at his homework any longer. “I didn’t go sorry. But I’m sure nothing too big happened.”
Starting up a conversation wasn’t something that Aaliyah normally did. However, with the big stir over the recent school formal that had taken place, she was growing curious by the second and so was her desire to ask someone about it. Although she sat at home wishing that she was present, she didn’t want to give that away when she questioned anyone about it.
Turning her head to her right, Aaliyah inhaled and exhaled a quick breath and glanced at the person in that direction. “I have a question. How was the winter formal? Everyone seems to be going batshit crazy over it.” She finally asked, feeling relieved once she did.

The brunet raised a brow upon hearing the other’s words, glancing upwards from the textbook his attention had been fixed on and to Michael. “Did t-they c-change a um, a deadline or something?”
“What? No.” Michael shook his head, “No, I was reading that blog.”
“Hmm?” CJ glanced over, having been pulled out from his brief spaced out trance as he heard a faint voice nearby. “Sorry, what was that? What’s up?”
"Nothin’.”
