@xndeniable· liked this post for a starter — based on this.
“i know you’re just dating her for show, but i still hate seeing you two together.”
hearing that did play into quinn’s annoyance. how many times did they have to have this conversation? being in the public eye, quinn needed to keep up a persona. dating someone like the other wasn’t going to look good for her. she needed to keep a low profile, but one that was admirable. “i’m not going to stop seeing someone because you don’t like seeing it,” she responded harshly, rolling her eyes and then trying to settle herself down. she was prone to anger quickly, but it could dissipate just as easily. “in this industry, everyone’s watching what you do.”
scout was hanging in disbelief and uncertainty of her previous words. quinn was her person, and she was her person. but, it didn’t feel like it anymore. “i feel invisible beside you. when we’re together, even with no one else around...i feel invisible.” scout had always been supportive of quinn’s career--proud, even. however, scout’s insecurities were starting to get the best of her. “it’s hard for me to put myself in your shoes, to see why it’s happening. just try to understand why it’s hard for me too.”
