a small part of me dies inside every time i see that someone i went to school with got married or had a baby.
when is it my turn?
hey siri, how do i not spiral when someone leaves me on read/delivered?
i love it when my feed gets congested with all the edgelord sadgirl BS that the serial dater friend shares every time they get dumped. no matter how long the relationship was, it’s always the same kinds of posts.
girl, it was barely 3 months, calm down. it’s not like you got dumped after 3 years.
the fact that you act that way every time may be part of why your relationships don’t last very long, but that’s none of my business…
why am i not allowed to be happy? why does everything around me have to fall apart? when is it my turn? why do people who don’t deserve it get the happiness i want?
i’m so tired of asking the universe “when?” and “why?” like it’s even going to answer. yet i still do.
i feel like i’m going to be stuck in this shitty town forever.
when that friend that’s totally not a nymphomaniac just casually drops in the chat that they’d rather be having sex than be in the hospital with their mother.
girl, time and place.
also, that’s hella disrespectful. have some decency.
i just want to be loved by someone who isn’t obligated by blood.
it’s getting so exhausting. all this swiping and swiping and swiping with nothing coming from it.
and i need to get out of here if i have any hope of meeting somebody the old-fashioned way.
i’m tired. why is it so hard?
i have a friend who doesn’t seem to understand that he’s just as bad as some homo/transphobes when he “clocks” someone as queer in public.
no, those two jock-y guys aren’t gay just because they’re walking close together. people walk close to their group so they don’t get separated. or, for all you know, they could be brothers.
no, that short guy dressed a certain way isn’t trans just because he dresses that way and is short. some cis guys are just short and also like to put effort into their appearance.
no, that tall woman with a flatter chest isn’t trans just because she’s tall and has a flatter chest. there are plenty of cis women who are tall and flat chested.
these people very well could be what you assume them to be, but making those assumptions based on stereotypes makes you no better than those people who think lady gaga has a penis or who think matt damon and ben affleck are secretly in a gay relationship. and that’s not undone by the fact that you’re queer too.
not to mention, pointing out someone you think looks visibly queer in the area we live in could put them in danger if the wrong person hears you. or you could really piss the wrong person off if they hear you call them queer and they’re actually not.
i understand the want for solidarity, but if these people aren’t advertising their sexual or gender identities through whatever means, just mind your own business. it doesn’t help the movement to point these people out, whether they’re actually queer or not.
at the very least, if you’re going to assume someone is queer based solely on stereotypes, just keep it to yourself.
i’m so tired of being the lonely one.
i’m tired of being the odd one out when everyone is with their partners at the gathering.
i do what i’m supposed to. i put myself out there but nothing substantial has come from it.
what am i doing wrong? why does everyone else find their person but not me? when will it be my turn? will it ever be my turn?
why does the omnipotent deity choose to torment me so?
the internal agony that you can’t express outwardly when your friend/crush tells you they have a partner now and that leaves you as the only single person in the group
i feel like an incel for even thinking it but, why not me? why does everyone else get to have partners and be happy but not me?
do you guys think that if i deleted all the dating apps on my phone, it’d trigger the universe to send my soulmate to me? are the dating apps preventing them from finding me?
i understand the importance of being up-to-date on the political happenings of the country, but i’d appreciate it if the doomer wouldn’t send their doomer posts to the group chat first thing in the morning.
i’m hanging out with my friends but i wish you were here too…
you’ll already be having the worst morning, then here comes the doomer of the group to make it even worse.
sometimes i feel like such a fucking energy vampire.
especially when i’m already in a horrible mood for like no reason.
that pathetic moment when you have an extended positive conversation with someone you met on a dating app and you’re so used to just being ghosted or completely ignored that you start to think “this might be it.”
but it’s never it.
hey, guess what…
