Shane Hollander is nineteen, eight weeks into his rookie season, and very much not having fun at a Halloween party in the Hollywood Hills. He buys a Mulan costume last minute. He loses his sword. He runs into Ilya Rozanov in a hallway — and Ilya, extremely drunk and constitutionally incapable of restraint, is very convinced he's just met the prettiest girl at the party.

Shane does not correct him.
