Me: My standards for male love interests in books are pretty high at the moment. I got to admit that.
Author: His hair was black. His eyes were blue and his smirk was really seductive.
Also me: That will do. Sir, we’re married now.
I know I read too many romance books because sometimes the knowledge that nobody loves and cherishes me hits hard and is almost painful.
Where is my sarcastic, troubled anti-hero who would burn the world down for me pls?
i am reading clockwork angel, and Will Herondale's face comes to me in an odd amalgymation of Kaz Brekker and Dorian Havilliard LMAOO
Book: He was tall and handsome, with blue eyes, black hair, and a smirk that you couldn’t resist-
Me:
ok but can u imagine how many characters would look identical irl. will herondale, alec lightwood, dorian havilliard, percy jackson and rhysand all have dark black hair, strikingly blue/green eyes and are described w really good facial structure and a fit body; and im just listing characters from 3 universes, not including the ones i haven’t thought about. not only that but how many female protagonists have we had that have brown hair and light coloured eyes?? yeah
I feel bad that Dorian Havilliard and William herondale could never possibly meet. I feel like they would have been besties.
Person: “Why is your type for boys blue/green eyes and dark hair?”
Me internally: *the images of Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, William Herondale, Dorian Havilliard, Julian Blackthorn, Alec Lightwood, Rhysand, and many more appearing in my brain”
Me externally: “CuZ i Am EmOtIoNaLlY uNsTaBlE?!”
I have such a type. Like, I don't want to admit it but I do. Dark hair? Tragic backstory? Angst-ridden? Broody? Marry me
authors: this is the villain/morally grey character 😡❌🚫⚠️
me: this is the villain/morally grey character 🥵🥰😻♥️💞💘🫀
stop this please my moral compass is broken
I don't know how to explain this but Ash Morgenstern, Will Herondale, Jace Herondale, James Herondale, Julian Blackthorn, Rhysand, Ruhn Danaan, Lidia Cervos, Dorian Havilliard, Aedion Ashryver, Damon Salvatore, and Severin Montagnet Alarie are all the same type of people.
Also the fact that Lidia Cervos is someone I'm attracted to as much as I'm to Rhys speaks volumes about her character. The real MVP.
I have a type:
Dark haired, intelligent, emotional, psychopaths
what is addictive?
him. them. those fictional characters who are hot as hell, have infinity emotional problems, and are snarky as fuck to hide their cinnamon roll interiors
How am I ever supposed to find a boyfriend when my standards are bookish men written by women?
“he’s the only man ever” i say that about 7 different fictional characters
*kelly osborne voice* and if you kick every blue-eyed white man out of your country, then who else could possibly be male lead of your fantasy or romance book, authors?
I have realized that the perfect form of media must have a delicate balance between absolutely heart wrenching pure emotional devastation and the most ridiculous nonsense you have ever seen in your whole life
