Ramona woke up in an unfamiliar bed and unfamiliar clothes. She rubbed her eyes as she stretched her arm, feeling an empty space beside her. She sat up, looking around. โLiza?โ No response. She got up and went to the restroom to do her business. Where could she be so early in the morning? Events from last night flashed through her mind.

โIโve got to go, pleased to meet you, Mr. March, pardon the mess.โ She scurried out, not looking back. Disbelief painted all over her face. What the fuck is that supposed to mean? And just as the elevator doors open, a familiar perfume filled the air.
โLeaving so early, Mona? I thought I sent enough signals that I wanted you to wait for me.โ
Ramona took one look at those hazel eyes when tears started forming in hers. She didnโt even respond, she just dashed right past her, leaving the blonde dumbfounded. A familiar pit in Elizabethโs stomach started forming, she knew something mustโve happened upstairs. Ramona hailed a cab, and just as the cab started taking her back to her apartment, she took one last glance at the hotel. Soon enough, sobs started to escape Ramonaโs lips.
Back at the hotel, Elizabeth impatiently waited for the elevator to reach her penthouse. She opened the door and was greeted with a James March bashfully inviting himself to the drinks in her mini bar.
โWhat are you doing here, James?โ
โOh, youโre back already?โ
โOh, donโt start with me right now. What did you do to Ramona?โ
โYou mean your guest?โ Elizabeth was fuming, enraged, pissed. โI just told her what she needed to hear, darling. Besides, she was the reason why you didnโt show up to our night, is that right, darling?โ โKeep this up and you will never have another night with me again.โ โAre you threatening me, darling?โ โYou know I donโt do threats, James. Donโt ever- I mean EVER dabble into my business again. I donโt want you setting foot here in my penthouse again, do you understand?โ
โThis is my penthouseโMy hotel too, darling. Donโt you forge-โ
โI donโt give two shits, James. Last time I checked, Iโm not the one whoโs stuck here for eternity, depending on a lowly servant who does more than what she should just to boost your dead ego.โ James can feel the pure anger oozing out of her โwifeโ and he went from arrogant to a child whoโs about to get mauled by a dog. โBut dar-โ
โNot another word. Get out of my room. Now.โ James didnโt dare fight back and just walked away in defeat. Now what should Elizabeth do with Ramona. Sheโs not done with her yet, barely even started. โI canโt lose her, not todayโฆโ
It has been a minute since Ramona last encountered the countess. She was heartbroken, though she is not completely sure whyโconsidering theyโve only spent weeks seeing and talking with each other. She tried to bury herself in work. She started receiving flowers the past few days, from an unknown senderโbut she had an idea on who it might be. After a long day of photoshoots and interviews for a new film she starred in, Ramona thought to unwind a little once she came home. She thought to herself while walking to her apartment.

As she reaches the living room, there she isโA beautiful blonde in a white tuxedo, carrying a whole bottle of Masseto. โWhat are you doing here?โ Ramona finally broke the silence between them.
โYou havenโt answered any of my calls.โ
โAnd why should I? Youโre a cheat, Elizabeth.โ
โNot so fond of my nickname anymore?โ That earned a sarcastic laugh from Ramona. โYou are mistaken, Monaโฆ Just let me smooth things over?โ
โExplain what? That youโre actually married all this time? That you tricked me into letting down all my guards with you, only for you to leave more rubbish behind it?โ
Elizabeth took this time to stand up and move closer to Ramona. โDearest, I wonโt lie to you anymore. I was married. That man was my ex-husband.โ The brunette didnโt even budge, not buying the blondeโs explanation. โYou donโt believe me? I donโt blame you, he mustโve planted all sorts of idea in your head. If you doubt me, then heโs not someone you can trust either. The hotel is filled with people like suchโespecially James.โ
Ramona just stayed quiet as she roamed her living room, sitting on her sofaโElizabeth followed suit. โI donโt mean to break your trust, dear. I admit, I am not the type of person to open up and be honest with a lot of things. Iโm sorry, for not telling you I was once married and is now tied to a lunatic ex-husband who hates seeing me with another. But what I felt for you was genuineโI felt real with you, the realest I felt for what felt likeโฆ centuries.โ
After feeling the atmosphere a little, Elizabeth took the initiative to take hold of Ramonaโs hand. โI enjoyed our time together. I became fond of your warmth, Mona. Please, let me make it up to you?โ Ramona hated how easily she melted against Elizabethโs words.
โYou sure youโre not married? I am not fit to be the other woman, LizaโI deserve so much more than that.โ That earned an earnest smile from the blonde.
โOf course, someone like you shall never be treated as suchโyou deserve to be treated gentlyโฆโ Elizabeth moved closer, lifting Ramonaโs chin, giving her cheek a peck. โwith careโ she moved to kiss the tip of Ramonaโs nose. โ๐ธ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ต ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆโ then a soft kiss on the lips. โLove is a strong word choice, Liza.โ
โWhat can I say, Iโm a bold woman, Mona. Say, dinner?โ
Ramona just smiled. Relieved to have her woman in her arms again. They spent the night talkingโElizabeth telling the story of her marriage with Jamesโleaving out details that arenโt meant for Ramona to hear just yet. After dinner, the brunette drew a bath for the two of them to enjoyโdrinking the wine Elizabeth brought.
โDearest, when are you free to visit the hotel? And donโt tell me anytime, I would hate to disturb you from your artistry.โ Ramona thought for a second. โHm.. I think Iโm free Saturday this week, whatโs the occasion?โ Elizabeth went silent for a while, seemingly thinking deep about something.
โI have something for you to seeโto know.โ
Ramona felt bit of tension.
โYou make me nervousโฆโ
โOh no need to be nervous, MonaโฆItโs not anything negative, take it as an exploration of the unknown.โ
Ramona honestly felt confused about the sudden proposition, but she canโt help but go with the flow of the blondeโletting her take the wheel blindly.
