actually trauma did make me a little funnier but it's because i'm an overfunctioning people-pleaser now and endlessly fawning because if everyone in the room doesn't love me i am in danger. i am hypervigilant and endlessly scanning everyone's emotions so yes i guess i'm quick-witted. i can't have serious adult conversations without feeling like i'm on fire and i always feel like i'm at fault for things i didn't even do. i need every difficult thing to be resolved right now immediately, i can't stand conflict, i am endlessly needy and anxious. i will cling to bad people even after i've been hurt continuously and i'm in a constant battle with my body to just rest instead of reacting. but yeah it. i guess. silver linings or whatever. it did make me funny
perhaps my issue is that i consistently care too much.
Everything has been lies.
I am afraid I will love you forever and we will never be in the same room again.
— Clementine von Radics, In a Dream You Saw a Way to Survive
More people stay in my memories than in my life.
"And sometimes I have kept my feelings to myself because I could find no language to describe them in."
— Jane Austen
There is an ocean of silence between us… and I am drowning in it. ― Ranata Suzuki
i'm okay but no longer feeling happy.
Almost. It’s a big word for me. I feel it everywhere. Almost home. Almost happy. Almost changed. Almost, but not quite. Not yet. Soon, maybe.
Joan Bauer / Almost Home
"Sometimes loneliness is not the absence of people, but the absence of someone who truly understands your pain."
An absence that lingers.
you are worthy of endless love and affection.
