Okay, but also: if you see a Muslim praying in public and they have something in front of them, like a purse or a bag or something like that, you can pass in front of them, but pass in front of that object.

it’s called a sutrah, and it’s meant to act as a physical barrier between the person praying and someone who might happen to pass in front.

Also, if you did this and didn’t know, please don’t beat yourself up over it. Now you know! Muslims aren’t supposed to pass in front of Muslims praying, either, because prayer is communication with God and you don’t want to break that connection.

Akihiko: This time it’ll be about the high-schoolers.. so that means; Uenoyama and Mafuyu, huh.

Haruki: Now now don’t say that.

Akihiko: Uhm… What are your hobbies? [Akihiko is using formal speech]

Haruki: Is this a Marriage interview?

Akihiko: hmm, inadvertently—

Uenoyama: Mmmmmmmh mm.. my hobbies.. well that’d be… the guitar.

Haruki: Haha of course it’s something like that for Uecchi~

Akihiko: You started out with the guitar around elementary school, yeah?

Uenoyama: Right! From the time I got a guitar from my pops, it’s pretty much been that.

Haruki: So… even in clubs at school?

Uenoyama: In middle school, I joined the basketball club!

Mafuyu: I only do the cleaning and some odd jobs so it’s not much…

Akihiko: It is a lot of hard work~

Haruki: Mmh! That’s great!… By the way, what do you do on those days when you’re not working?
