Severus Snape isn’t a scary guy, he’s literally just a goth :)
Neil lives Au:
Where everything is the same, except it turns into a thriller at the end. Neil calls the school, Charlie is the first to answer. Over the phone, Neil is audibly out of breath, scared out of his mind. He tells Charlie that he’s done something terrible, that he needs help. That he doesn’t know what’s going to happen to him but that he couldn’t bear to live the life his father wanted.
The boys are all out in a dark December night burying Neil’s parents in the darkest corner of the woods that they could find. Charlie, Gerrard, Neil and Todd are shivering in their coats as they stab at the frozen ground repeatedly. Meeks and Knox are at Neil’s house trying to clean the crime scene as quickly as possible. Knox is stripping the bed and remaking it. Meeks is scrubbing at the walls, the police are coming they can hear the sirens but manage to escape out the house before anyone can show up.
Neil is practically unresponsive, he’s shaking uncontrollably, unsure of what he’s done. He wasn’t thinking, he was so desperate for any grasp on his life that he took the two people that he loved and wanted to please more than anything away with his own hands. The boys purposely left Cameron out of what had been done that night.
Neil and the rest of the dead poets graduated with honours. All of them perusing their noble professions, Neil moved to New York with Todd, he had become an actor just as he wanted while the once timid boy had become an award winning author.
But Neil, in the back of his Welton scrapbook, he kept a singular news paper clipping, of a cold case. Without a casket and without two bodies but a son that survived them both.
The Dead Poets had gotten away with murder and it was something none of them would ever willingly speak of again. It was a moment of true brotherhood and a secret they’d all take to their graves.
Wuuhh
I watched Dead Poets Society in class, and all I can say after watching it is:
is this anything
can't wait to rewatch dead poets society again, oh boy i sure hope neil doesn't die this time!
i present to you, one of my favorite pinterest comments.
Please, I need a Neil lives au but nothing changes except it’s Charlie that desperately convinces Neil that something bad will happen to him if he goes home. He doesn’t know what it is, or what will happen, but it’s just a weird sixth sense that only best friends have.
I need more scenes of the DPS boys being teenage boys. GIVE ME THIS AND MY LIFE, IS YOURS 🙏🙏🙏
Hi 👋, My name is Mohammad, and I’m reaching out in a moment of desperate need. I’m a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. 💔
I’ve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future. 🕊️🇵🇸
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my family’s safety and well-being. 🫶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. 🙏
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. ❤

Hi!! Of course <3
Hear me out, Neil Perry lives Au but the boys preform a ritualistic séance in the middle of the woods a week after his funeral brought on by Todd’s grief for him. Therefore bringing Neil back from the dead but no one else can know they did it so Neil is continuously moved around the boys’ dorms until graduation.
Severus: how do I tell Lockhart I want to hit him with a chair?
Lucius: don’t tell him. Just do it
I’m genuinely trying to figure out why ppl hate Snape…and I’m not talking about disliking the character, not every character is loved by everyone, but why do people go out of their way to “daily reminder that Severus Snape wasn’t a good person” or “fuck Snape and anyone who likes him”…it’s confusing.
It can’t be because he bullied children because there’s a lot of that going on in the hp series. The Marauders bullied people, Draco bullied people, Minerva traumatized and humiliated Neville, Sirius choked Harry and broke Ron’s leg, and as much as Duds was a lil shit, Hagrid mutated Dudley, a child, when Uncle Vernon insulted Harry's parents and Dumbledore…Hagrid retaliated on Dudley with the pig's-tail jinx. Hagrid later told Harry the spell was a mistake - he actually meant to turn Dudley completely into a pig…tf
Then I thought: Is it because he joined the DE’s? Noooo it can’t be because the vast majority of Snape haters like Regulus Black (canonically obsessed with Voldemort, and was a DE), and the vast majority of the hp fandom makes hella excuses for Draco (who was actually blood prejudice)
Then I was like: it’s because he’s ugly…but nowhere does it say he’s ugly. There’s nothing wrong with having a big nose, and greasy hair can be from a NUMBER of things, not just poor hygiene.
Is it because people don’t like that he isn’t a perfect victim? Naaaahhh, people usually like those unhinged characters who’s trauma haunts them
Is it because of that dumb headcanon that he’s obsessed with Lily? Cause if I’m being honest, Snape wasn’t the one who told her he’d stop torturing her friend if and only if she went out with him…and he isn’t the one who wrote her initials on a snitch as if she’s an object to catch…HES not the one who “made a fool of himself whenever she was around”…
Is it because he called her Mudblood? It better not be, cause pure blood fan-favorite Draco loved that word more than him…and didn’t Kreacher hurl that word around a lot? As if he’s used to using it or used to his owners using it? Interesting…Didnt Snape actually stop someone from saying Mudblood?
“And now Snape stood again in the headmaster's study as Phineas Nigellus came hurrying into his portrait. "Headmaster! They are camping in the Forest of Dean! The Mudblood - " "Do not use that word!"
Thought so…
So what is it?
I think it’s many things, not just one overall reason. It’s mostly aesthetic ( absolutely correct that it doesn’t say he’s ugly, they’ve just decided those particular characteristics are ugly. Not shallow at all 🙄) but also how he’s structurally placed within the narrative. He’s the perfect scapegoat, and in fact spends most of the series creating and maintaining that persona. He wasn’t meant to be appealing or liked (from Harry’s limited pov) so…he’s not. Too literal, too on the nose? I definitely think so, but for a lot of younger readers/viewers that’s enough. He straddles the line between light and dark, and that’s unsettling for those who lack emotional maturity. If he was a direct and heartless monster they would simp for him. If he was a perfect uwu cinnamon roll woobie victim they would simp for him. Because he’s neither, yet somewhere in between, he’s reviled. And he was meant to be unnerving and challenging. I think his author found him unnerving and challenging. It’s what his fans love about him, but for others that’s too much to handle. Why can’t he just be sweet and kind? Why can’t he just commit to evil? Why can’t he be hot like all my faves? Why is he so complicated?? His unattractive, poor, a social disaster, biting, raw, sometimes absolutely feral. He has a sense of internal irony that’s really funny and kinda admirable, but he’s so hardwired against any show of weakness (in others, and most especially himself) that he appears literally implacable and unfeeling, and it’s too much of a leap for the kiddies when they find out all he did was feel, too much, all the time, and it broke him to the point where he had to mentally hide his feelings behind a wall just to function. We read his monologue about those who wear their hearts on there sleeves and realize “Oh fuck, my dude is talking about himself, yikes!.” Snaters didn’t catch the memo. He’s too much. He doesn’t fit into their narrow worldview. And he’s viewed that way within the text itself. He’s not ugly, but he’s not mainstream attractive either. They can’t handle his dichotomy.
