Self-indulgent but my biggest Skylanders headcanon is that Kaos has a burning jealousy for us, the Portal Master. Because from his perspective, we're just some loser nobody that convenietly showed up out of nowhere to thwart his plans. And yet, the Skylanders listen to you, respect you. You're adored, revered, even though no one knows who you truly are. While he had to scramble for any kind of positive attention & worked himself to the bone to earn the title of Portal Master, you got it all served to you on a silver platter. You dont even have magic! So why? Why does everything go your way all the time? Why do you get so much respect without even trying?

I've been watching them for my entire life, I hate the air they breathe their foolish decrees, their words so contrived

& I hate the way the townspeople gather outside

they hang on every breath, cling to their chest, home to their heart full of pride

& I'd be lying if I said I wasn't wishing for your untimely death or demise

or am I just wishing I could be like you?

that the people would see me too as a poet

and not just the muse.

Wait until he learns that the player is usually a child
