How does one convince the guy whose beliefs were based on the concept that everyone in the fandom wrote self contained stories and he protects all of them, that that’s not how it works, without knowing how it actually works?
Well, I think Dream could come up with something.
Pulled a lot of Ink canon here. I remember vaguely one post discussing how Ink uses his scarf like a film reel to “see AUs”. I have no idea what “see AUs” means but MAYBE this is how he read/knew scripts. Bit vague, let’s pretend it was LMAO. Headcanon I guess.
I found out his blaster was never given a name, sad, but here’s some more fun facts: from the all of 10 pages of dialogue we get in the original comics, he does swear, but he also hits a "holy shoot" so I think it's very funny if he only censors himself half the time and forgets the other half. He doesn't really get mad, but I figure this genuinely might frustrate him, so just a quick little swear. In french too. That's fun.
Ink took on his role of protector entirely of his own volition, believing he must have been given all these tools for a purpose, also to provide himself purpose, also to keep his vials flowing and him alive. He does in fact not like teams, and characters that affect AUs are confusing and complicated to him. It is in fact possible for someone to have no script in his original canon, so why not make this a little meta for Dream’s story? And yes, Ink is being lied to, to keep him canon. In this multiverse, I am the only one writing everything, and of course, everything is in the script, but we will keep his pretend scripts and creators around… ;)
Some more fun facts: Lanny trained Dream after helping him break free from stone, but she was a very harsh teacher because she held resentment towards him for Nim’s death.
The original Underswap Sans had no gloves. I did want to draw gloves… and technically community owned, so no real canon, but I live to recreate the original, so alas, no gloves.
Occasionally I write Dream’s dialogue as having small grammatical errors in them… it’s his second language
