Gloomy fall Saturday at home
I love you baby
I've decided that I'm at my happiest when I'm at my most vulnerable. All my life I grew up thinking I needed to impress people, give them a good opinion about me. That I needed to look good 24/7, wear some makeup with a cute outfit to fit into society, like a puzzle piece that connected perfectly with every other person. I'm glad I finally grew into what I am now. I've decided that: I hate cute outfits because 97% of them are extremely uncomfortable. I hate wearing bras because they hurt my boobs and make me sweaty in the summer and it feels so great not to wear one. I hate makeup because I don't like how it covers my face and changes what I naturally look like. I hate curling and straightening my hair because it destroys it and burns it and I love the feeling of my soft healthy, hair that I haven't put heat on / dyed in a full year. If someone told my 15 year old self that at the age of 21, I'd be leaving the house without a stitch of makeup, with my natural hair waving around, not wearing a bra, I wouldn't have believed them. I wish I could get back all those years I spent trying to impress people when I was younger and just would have been more care free.. I would have had a much happier teenage life. My personality was still 100% me but I was incredibly insecure about how people viewed me physically. I'm now 21 and more comfortable in my own skin than ever before and I don't care for what others think. It's the most refreshing feeling in the world. Only very few things in my life make me purely full of happiness and joy and being completely natural and being completely myself is at the top of the list. Every day I remind myself how proud I am of my growth and I can only hope to continue growing like this and live my fullest, happiest life.
