Do a little bit at a time.
I’m someone who is very routined, and I’m usually pretty good at staying on top of stuff. I clean a little bit of my apartment each day and I study a bit each day.
Recently I had family visiting for a few weeks. As much as I love my family, it really threw off my routine and I got nothing done (which just shows how important having a routine is!). My family’s a great help and did some cooking and cleaning, but there was still a lot of stuff that piled up.
Now that they’re gone, I have a massive to-do list and I feel like I’m drowning in it. I’m cleaning like crazy and trying to run a million errands and get everything done in the little free time I have.
The point is, it’s exhausting and miserable and it doesn’t have to be like this.
Cleaning for an entire day sucks. Cleaning for 10-15 minutes a day isn’t bad at all.
Studying for 2 days straight is horrible. Studying a bit each day is super manageable.
The same goes for workouts. If you’re consistent, it’s way less miserable than doing a 4 hr workout and being too sore to walk for a week.
Do a little bit each day. It makes the tough stuff seem easier, and you won’t ever drown in your own to-do list.
