I got caught. 1/21/18
So
Long story short I got caught. My dumbass self decided to go with an inexperienced friend and she caused LP to catch us. Thank God at the time I was 15. This happened in May of 2017.
If I had been just one year older, I would have been sent to jail.
I've left the lift of lifting, I can't risk my future.
My advice: drop, run, stay silent.
Can someone give advice on how to lift shoes?
Preferably without doing the shoe switch thing bc I don’t have any crappy shoes that I’m willing to get rid of.
I have my eye on a pair of riding boots. Not sure how to get them in my hands. Very frustrating.
Note: This method isn’t compatible with all shoestores Most, if not all shoe stores have benches. This is awesome. If you’re in a less secure store, some benches may even become blindspots (if you bend down, eccetra, eccetra.) Pre-pick a bench. Pick out a couple of shoe boxes. Sit down on your bench and get all your shoes out, try them on, make a mess of things. Make sure your large handbag is mostly under the bench. Now, in this mess, you have a few options: a) Kick the shoes you want underneath the bench casually, and try to kick it towards your bag. When your “finished browsing”, get down and grab your bag and swiftly try to put the shoes you want in them. b) if not difficult, kick your shoes into your bag. c) Make sure you have a coat/sweatshirt with you. Put it down sort of underneath the bench. Kick your shoes underneath the bench. When you get down it pick up your stuff, put the shoes in your arm, lay your jacket sweatshirt over it, and walk out. What about people like me? Who's family is stable and can afford to buy luxuries for themselves, but treat their own blood like common rubbish?
Before I started lifting I didn't have a single pair of pants that fit me. I had lost weight because of severe environmental depression . They could afford $2000 TVs, but not a $15 pairs of pants. Nor did I even had a bra that fit. I was wearing a 34B when I'm a 32DD.

This is gonna be long, but I need to say this.
This was sent to me by my old lifting partner. I used to live with her. She now calls me up to 40 times a day and texts me hundreds of times a day. Its been 4 montbs since I talked to her last. The only reason she isn’t blocked is because she had a pending harrassment charge against her and the officers I spoke with told me after she changed phone numbers 4 times to just set her to ignore and let her do it. All its doing is helping me out. Let me tell you what this girl did when my Hubby & i moved out.
First, let me say when I moved out it was bc she refused to be discreet when lifting, and would make it obvious what she was doing bc she felt invincible, and would get mad when I wouldn’t go along with it and would lash out at me. I couldn’t handle that kind of volatile relationship so I made it known and left.
Anyway, she started calling and texting all the time When I first left saying she was sorry and I should come visit so we could go lift. I told her no and ignored her from then on out. She got progressively more irritated and started threatening me. When I still didn’t answer, she called the cops and claimed I was harrassing her. They came to check it out and when I showed them what was really going on, they convinced me to press charges on her. She I did. They asked her to come down to the station and she did, drunk. At the time she was only 3 months pregnant, and she drove to the police station. Drunk. Completely hammered, barely able to stand up drunk. She got a DUI and spent the night in the “drunk tank”, then was informed of the harrassment charges the next day.
Two days later, my ex called me and informed me all my personal information was posted on Facebook and Craigslist. She had posted what she thought was social, birthday, address (all 3 were wrong) and then my phone number. I informed the police of this right away and they did what they do to confirm it was her who posted it.
She then finds out my address from her fiancee’s phone from where my husband had sent it to him (they’re basically best friends). She proceeds to post my address on Craigslist with the caption “Come rape me. I love the rape fantasy and get completely into it. My neighbors know as I’ve done this before, so they won’t be alarmed by my screams (if you don’t gag me first ;) ). My door will be locked, so just knock and as soon as I answer just push me in and you can do whatever you want to me. No protection needed, I’m on birth control and have no STDs.” along with my phone number with the instructions “don’t call me. Just text me what you want to do to me before you come. I love a preview before the real thing.” I received texts for 2 days before someone knocked on my door. I refused to answer and called the cops and explained the situation. I ended up having to go to the hospital after having a panic attack so bad I passed out and the officers there couldn’t wake me up. Yet again, they did their thing and confirmed it was her who posted it. The man was arrested for attempted sexual assault after they saw the messages he’d sent, and she got another charge (I’m tired and can’t remember what they called what she did). I still get texts to this day because of that post, even though the post was taken down. 6 other men have shown up banging on my door. First one banged until the cops showed, 2nd and 3rd came to my window to try to break in, 4th one picked the lock. I got lucky my husband came home less than 5 minutes after the guy showed up. He’d been in my apt for maybe a minute or two, and had me pinned. I screamed bloody murder and fought back as much as I could. He hit me over and over, I don’t even know how many times, telling me to shut up, giving me a concussion in the process. He fractured my wrist trying to keep me still. My husband came home as he pulling down his pants. Yet again, ended up in this hospital, this time for almost a week. I was seconds away from being raped because of her. 5th and 6th ones banged on the door til The cops showed. The last tried to come to my window but I’d already put The boards up (explained below). The cops were called every time, and all 6 were arrested. Its been 3 weeks since anyone has shown up as of now. If we had the money we would move, but we can barely afford where we’re living now, and we’re stuck here bc we have an eviction from a year & a half ago on our record preventing us from going elsewhere. I’ve put boards up over all my Windows and my glass sliding door, as well as adding 2 extra deadbolt locks and 2 chains on my front door. We even installed a security camera outside our front door so anyone who comes to the door is on camera. I literally don’t leave my house unless I’m going to work, and even then I have my neighbor walk me to & from my car since he’s retired military and home all the time. I’m scared to even check the mail by myself.
That post happened 3 months ago. 2 months ago she was arrested after stealing over 1000$ worth of stuff from M@cy’s with both of her kids with her, as well as being drunk in public (she’s ~5 months pregnant at that point).
Fast forward to now. She has been sentenced to community service for the shoplifting, and we’re awaiting my court date For the charges against her from me (coming next month). She started messaging me again after she found my blog again about a week ago. Threatening to expose me and all that. The top one I received tonight. The bottom I received 2 days ago and just ignored. Now, I feel I need to put it out there just what kind of person she is. She has terrorized me since Christmas basically, and I’m tired of living in fear because of what she’s done. I want everyone to know just how terrible it a person she is.
I won’t name names, because I’m not that kind of person. The account she messaged me off of has her picture, so I blacked it out (as well as my name obviously). Its a throwaway acct with no posts, not her main acct. I don’t know what her main acct is now, she’s changed it since the last time she messaged me from a frequently used acct. There’s no point in messaging her, she won’t care what you have to say, but if you want to feel free. She deserves whatever she gets from this. But I just needed to get all this out bc I can’t talk about all this with many people I know personally bc they’re judgemental and automatically assume I did something to provoke her, regardless of the fact that I have all sorts of proof that I’ve done nothing besides tell her I won’t be her friend/lifting partner anymore. And yes, every time she harrasses me, I send screenshots to her fiance so he knows what’s going on and isn’t blindsided by it. I’m trying to be a good friend to him in spite of her actions. I’ve known him for over 10 years and he doesn’t deserve to be dragged down with her, so I at least try to give him a heads up. He’s the reason she’s gotten caught lifting so many times since she refuses to stop no matter how many times He asks her to. He finds out where she’s going and calls to inform them what she’s doing. She’s put him at risk of losing custody of his son bc she’s gotten caught twice (before he started calling) with his son with her with total over 500$ one time and the 1000+$ one I talked about earlier. But he won’t leave her until the baby is born, or he may never get to see his daughter.
I’m starting to ramble bc I’m so tired, so I’ll stop here. Thanks for taking the time to read if you did. Stay safe out there and be careful of who you make friends with 💜💜

You claim that several men attempted your rape, and this is true. But you fail to point out to us or perhaps acknowledge… your friend was an accomplice in every single attempt. She was hoping for your rape. She was the instigator every single time. Your friend is no better than a rapist. I don’t care if she did it through strangers, she attempted to have you raped. She is no better than the rapists sitting in jail. THAT is who this bitch is. Maybe you don’t understand the meaning of that, but this is someone dangerous, a threat to society.
The entire time I was reading this, my blood was boiling. To pretend you’re not misogynistic chauvinistic and rapist scum because you’re a woman. In my eyes, she is a fucking rapist. Chain Differences Tips
Places like Petco can be kind of scary, for ex. There’s two Petco close to me, both within a decent driving distance. One Petco has cameras while the other one doesn’t and one Petco has security towers and the other one doesn’t. Also, the only exit to the ‘nicer’ Petco is right AFTER the registers to deter theft, because even if you pull on the entrance door you cannot exit out of them and are forced to used the guarded exit door. Ppl who are the obvious grab n’ go thieves would have a harder time escaping if chased.
One Art store chain I frequent has 2 stores nearby. One is camera free, unguarded with Prismas, oil paint, watercolors and etc just ready to be plucked from the shelving. The other one is a nightmare of cameras and security monitors, there are cameras on THE WALLS. Not just the ceiling. There’s also only ONE exit and ONE entrance like the petco, stashing and going while being chased would be a nightmare if you didn’t know those doors.
One clothing store chain nearby leaves stuff untagged and another one of their stores that’s close by does not. I noticed all of these differences lead up to a couple of things.
How rich is the area you live in? If it’s poor then there’s going to be more theft, which means higher likelihood of cameras, being csed, followed, source tags, and regular tags. There’s also the additional likelihood that LP or SA will follow you around based on stereotype, double if you are a poc or a teen.
Poor counties sometimes have the added advantage of having poor SA and bad customer service but chances are that their manager is up their ass so it’s actually better safe than sorry.
Rich cities or rich counties can be a safer bet. Rich malls, rich areas with BIG houses etc. Basically if it has a Whole Foods in the general area you’re probably good. Stuff is more likely to be left unguarded, untagged, little SA, no cams, etc etc. This doesn’t mean don’t do your usual checking stuff out, it just makes your chances of getting out go up.
It can be really worth it to drive or journey out to the richer parts of town, because instead of going to the poor version of X chain store, the RICH people version has a neatly folded untagged t-shirt just laying the fuck around.
Seconding this so hard. Though source tags are applied during packaging from the supplier, and tend to be a universal thing whereever you go. Also, low-traffic, small, out-of-the-way malls can be a hidden gold mine, especially in wealthier areas. Often these places aren’t used to much excitement, so their guard is seriously down when it comes to security.
Relatable with my ultas! I have one that’s been around a p long time and doesn’t really tag anything that isn’t super duper expensive like the 500$ straighteners or w/e. But the new one they just built by the new mall has tags on literally everything down to the rectangle puffy tags on a lot of the eyeliners and lip liners. They also put these big cube tags on the naked palette boxes, and if you just pull the palette out of the box for a few seconds it starts beeping at you.

Toilet time.
Mall tip: I don’t like messing around too much with packaging in stores: not only does it mean that I’m in there for longer than I have to be, it also increases the chances of getting seen by someone. So ninety nine times out of one hundred, the packaging comes out of the store with me (with RFIDs removed, obviously). I realise, though, that packaging can be bulky and take up more room than you’d like, especially if you only have one bag with you. And nothing screams “Hey, look, a shoplifter!” than boxed up, brand new items visible in your hand bag. So what do I do? I get my butt into the rest rooms, making sure I get into a cubicle with a sanitary disposal unit in it. (This allows me to make a bit of noise in there, too: it’s kind of acceptable and normal to shuffle through your handbag and unzip things and rustle with plastic when you’re digging out a pad or a tampon or whatever.) What am I doing in there? Taking things out of the packaging, and hiding them at the bottom of my hand bag or in pockets (for small instructional manuals, and carded earrings, I put them in my wallet). It’s also prime time to triple-check anything for RFID tags– if you HAVE beeped anywhere, go into the Ladies’ before you step into another store. And where does the packaging or RFID tags end up? In the sanitary bin. If you’ve managed to do all this without looking suss at all, odds are good that once you chuck the packaging in there, it’s gone forever, because those bins are removed by private contractors who clean them out elsewhere and replace them. And no one is going to want to go poking through a bin full of used sanitary products and hell knows what else just in case there might have been a shoplifter who used it to dispose of tags and packaging. It’s also a good time to change clothes or wear some of your haul or whathaveyou, too. (Apologies to those of you who use the mens’ room; I don’t know if disposing of things in there is feasible. Though I’ve heard stories of people flushing/trying to flush tags and it ending VERY badly, though.)
Yes! I love to go into the restrooms if my bag starts to look a little lumpy or odd, and re organize everything, this helps if u need more room too!
Or maybe (for my gals that lift on the rag when angry. I know I do.) If you use pads, roll up some small packaging or RFIDs in the used pad or plastic sleeve? Life saving tips yo.
I'VE SAID THIS BEFORE BUT...
I’m just going to say it again because the last time that I posted this; I only had like 50 followers, at the most.
-ALWAYS do your research. You absolutely need to if you plan on shoplifting. Google your states shoplifting laws.
-Google “(insert location) shoplifting (insert year)”, if you aren’t coming up with anything, insert “news” onto it, to make sure that no camera footage was posted of you. Most areas will post a picture of you from their security cam if they suspect that you took something. I will explain why they do this. Say that you have a hook or magnet to remove tags. What do most of us recommend that we do with the tags that we’ve removed from clothing? We put it on something else that we aren’t lifting, mostly onto things that are already tagged. Which leaves items with 2 tags on them. If you’ve been to this store multiple times and they notice double tagged items every time that they’ve seen you in the store; they’ll connect the 2 together and sometimes, will post a picture of you onto news sites and ask for someone to identify you so that they can “ask some questions”.
Someone that I know got caught a few months ago because of this. She had been lifting from a store about once every 2 weeks or so. She double tagged Northface jackets and blue jeans then hung them back up. Someone purchased that same Northface jacket that day and the SA saw that it was double tagged and notified security because they had been having this problem for a while now. Security had also been notified once prior to that and saw camera footage of my friend picking up a Northface along with several other things and going back to the dressing room. They couldn’t just send out a picture of her just because she happened to try on a Northface, but once they saw her face again doing the same thing, they did. They also noticed that a blouse was missing from the stack of things that she was carrying. So, they sent her picture out to our local news. Me nor her knew about it and she went to that store about a week or 2 later and an SA called security and they watched her very closely and had 2 LP follow her out. They had her come back in and wait for the police to search her and she got caught with about $50 worth of stuff. They also got her for the cost of the blouse, which added up to be 75 dollars. She got off the hook with probation and a fine. She doesn’t shoplift anymore.
So, try to find items that aren’t tagged and put the tag that you removed onto that item. Try to refrain from double tagging (if you can). If you HAVE to double tag, only lift at that certain store about once a month so that they don’t catch onto you.
SIGNAL BOOST THIS POST TO SAVE AN ASS. I’VE NEVER HEARD ANYONE TALK ABOUT THIS STUFF.

The drop technique and my quick concealing method shown.
Drop technique notes: 1. Use a bag with a shoulder strap so you don’t have to think about where the handles are. You do not want to worry about getting your product tangled up in them. Another benefit of a shoulder strap bag is that there is no gap between the bag and your body (that the product could fall through). 2. Use a structured bag, so that if your product hits one of the sides (as my peanut butter & honey palette did!!), it falls inside anyway! Floppy purses are bad for this because your product can become unbalanced on the cloth if it hits the side, and end up on the floor. Cloth is just one more thing for the product to become tangled in. 3. See how the inside-tops of each side of my purse are angled slightly inward (toward the zipper)? These are your bumpers, babes. Like rails in Mario kart, these guide your product into the bag, so you don’t have to think about it at all. 4. I usually do something with my hand while doing this, as an excuse to move my arm and drop the product. Because I don’t touch my purse, it was clearly “just an accident” if I were to be caught. 5. Once this is done, immediately zip up your purse. Preferably do the concealment and zipping in a blindspot, or the closest thing to a blindspot as you can find. Also a great tip: walk into the store with your phone in a pocket. After dropping, place your phone into your purse and zip it up *without looking* at it.
Light speed conceal technique notes: 1. Hold the product in the hand on the opposite side of your body from your purse. Here, my purse is on my left and the product is in my right hand. I conceal it with my right hand. First, my left arm provides a little bit of cover. Second, it’s just a lot less obvious to me to have my right arm crossing in front of my body than it would be if I were bending my left arm to put the product in. I also like to use my left hand to hold my purse open if it’s a really big item (like I’m doing here; if it’s not a large item, I don’t do this). Third, it’s just a lot harder to do with the arm that’s next to the purse, IMO. Try both out, see what works best for you, and do so in front of a mirror. Practice, practice, practice. 2. Use only in what you are 200% sure is a blindspot. Also great for stores with no cams. 3. Use in clothing stores that count going into dressing rooms (conceal before you go in and detag in the dressing room). Again, be wary of cams. 4. Don’t do this with people around! Very advanced lifters probably are already using this technique to crowd conceal, but if you aren’t very advanced don’t do this anywhere near other people or only try it with *extreme* caution. Practice at home first!! For me, I often use my partner’s body to block others’ view of the side that my purse is on. Using a support beam, wall, or display on that side can also be helpful. I sometimes do it when I’m in a busy store and I’m 200% sure there is no one behind me and maybe one or two people in front of me, both facing away from me. The only reason I do it in these situations is because I’m also 200% sure I can conceal the item in less than 2 seconds (as shown here). If someone did turn to look at me after I’ve started to conceal, worst case scenario is that they see me with my hand in my purse. I’m pretty quick. 5. I often use this technique in makeup stores while holding 2 items. I only want to conceal one and the other is my decoy, which I hold on top of the thing I want. Then I cross my right arm over my body and pretend to look closer at something on a shelf (maybe reach out and grab something with my left hand and look at it), and only shove/drop one item in my purse. Then I’m still holding my decoy which I put somewhere random before leaving. It’s less sus in stores crowded with SAs. 6. Never ever EVER: do this in front of a camera, in front of another person, or on the floor in a store with very active and vigilant LP! Don’t do it! This method is CLEARLY intentional, unlike the drop technique. I have no cover or excuse for this if I get caught and neither do you. This is my favorite and most used technique, but it’s risky. Again, I only recommend this for the experienced and the entirely un-sus. I had a lot of experience before I ever tried concealing on the floor like this. Please be careful.
