About me (the owner)

Haiiii! My name is somner, or YaninfoLover69 (lol), and my pronouns are xe/all, but for this blog you can use they/them. I've been a fan of Yansim for about 6 years, since I was 11, and I've recently been rehyperfixating on it again. I've always liked Yaninfo, but when i went to see if there were any fanfics I was met with only 45 on Ao3 :(. So i decided to start this blog as a way of keeping track of as many Yaninfo works as possible and attempting to encourage new authors to write!

I have always had issues with the game and have decided to rewrite the entire thing. I'm currently attempting to make a video talking about my issues with Yandevs writing and a document with how I want to rewrite it, but that will likely take a while, so for now I'm going to run this blog while writing one-offs for the fandom!

think im hyperfixating on class of '09 a little (again) and i came up with the best idea bro. class of 09 and yansim swap au. which is more like a yandere au of class of 09 and an american high school au of yansim 😭

anyways, im gonna draw sum stuff later but heres some of the more important things

in the yandere au, emily is a yandere and the target of her affections is nicole, whos also info-chan. shes trying her hardest as info-chan to get her to leave her the fuck alone but it is not working very well. jecka is closest to osana, shes the first rival and nicoles best friend, but she doesn't die or anything

in the american highschool au, info is nicole and ayano is jecka, and they still get up to total classic yansim hijinks still. also they kill jeffery in half the routes thats a pretty important part lmfao

I did see this becoming a problem tho - I can't constantly update whenever a fic comes out. I'd like to! But my brain jst isn't built for that. It feels like more of a chore then anything else, but I want to be happy from this.

Maybe I'll be able to take a similar posting style later on, when I have a better mental capacity, but for now I think I'm going to continue working on the tier list and writing reviews of fics from time to time.

yo also, I'm going on hiatus from the 16th to the 20th. im gonna be housesitting and playing Tomodachi life, but once i get back i WILL be sharing my yaninfo miis. i also have other various yaninfo things i need to post that aren't specifically fanfic.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise. 

First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.

We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.

In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that,  including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.

I... don't rlly wanna stay around if they roll this out fully.

I haven't been hit by it yet (I think), or at least I haven't noticed as it seems to be affecting creators more then casual users, but even so it feels like they looked at the most iconic and important part of tumblr and went "let's remove it".

I'll admit, I've thought abt this from time to time when I'm wondering if theres a specific comment replying to a reblog and I can't find any, but like any competent person, I always thought "nah thats fucking stupid".

But seriously, this is just a stupid fucking idea. I use tumblr FOR the notes system, I don't like blueskys or twitters or any other sites. I like being able to see the full conversation immediately, and then even more branching topics from different points in the tags.

Making tumblr more like twitter is just fucking stupid. No one asked for this. No one wanted this. Tumblr is one of the few sites that isn't just a carbon copy of another with one small change and that's why a lot of people are on here. It's unique, and this update squashes that.

It's clear staff doesn't really care, they aren't genuinely interested in listening to what we have to say, even if a lot of people say they'll leave the site bc of this.

On that note, this blog will not be updating until it's explicitly clear whether or not they will listen to us and roll this back. I want to keep this blog going, I want to continue to try and accomplish my goal, but I'm not going to continue this blog if they do this. I'm deadass not interested. Haven't decided what I'll do with my main blog.

I'll hopefully see you soon with another fic update, and not with an offical blog closing message. Bye.
