Pope Francis’s secrets to happiness

1. “Live and let live.” Everyone should be guided by this principle, he said, which has a similar expression in Rome with the saying, “Move forward and let others do the same.”

2. “Be giving of yourself to others.” People need to be open and generous toward others, he said, because “if you withdraw into yourself, you run the risk of becoming egocentric. And stagnant water becomes putrid.”

3. “Proceed calmly” in life. The pope, who used to teach high school literature, used an image from an Argentine novel by Ricardo Guiraldes, in which the protagonist — gaucho Don Segundo Sombra — looks back on how he lived his life.

4. A healthy sense of leisure. The Pope said “consumerism has brought us anxiety”, and told parents to set aside time to play with their children and turn of the TV when they sit down to eat.

5. Sundays should be holidays. Workers should have Sundays off because “Sunday is for family,” he said.

6. Find innovative ways to create dignified jobs for young people. “We need to be creative with young people. If they have no opportunities they will get into drugs” and be more vulnerable to suicide, he said.

7. Respect and take care of nature. Environmental degradation “is one of the biggest challenges we have,” he said. “I think a question that we're not asking ourselves is: 'Isn't humanity committing suicide with this indiscriminate and tyrannical use of nature?'”

8. Stop being negative. “Needing to talk badly about others indicates low self-esteem. That means, 'I feel so low that instead of picking myself up I have to cut others down,'” the Pope said. “Letting go of negative things quickly is healthy.”

9. Don't proselytise; respect others' beliefs. “We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyses: 'I am talking with you in order to persuade you,' No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytising,” the Pope said.

10. Work for peace. “We are living in a time of many wars,” he said, and “the call for peace must be shouted. Peace sometimes gives the impression of being quiet, but it is never quiet, peace is always proactive” and dynamic.

I had so much fun this weekends, went to Taean, had fun at the beach swimming, had too much barbecues.

It was so comforting and amazing healing time got away from the city life. I just wish I had few more days :(

what my mom & dad got for me from their trip to Europe

Hello guys. Sorry for taking so long to come back. I've been busy and also out of contents. I've tried to post some time, but I just hesitated and took thing long time. haha Anyways, it's good to be back.

As you can guess what I'm gonna talk about from the title, I'll talk about my parents' presents for me from their trip. My mom and dad went to Manchester,UK to see my sister and they've traveled Spain and Belgium. Dad stayed for just two weeks and mom stayed for a month. And these are what they got for me.

A dress, Tiles in my initials, postcards from Spain, and After 8(mint chocolate, my favorite), Orange flavored and shaped chocolate, Neal's Yard Remedies' wild rose beauty balm, Sanctuary's 5 minute thermal detox mask, Revelon's Concealer, and tea mug set, necklace, shot glass and Bath & Body works' bath soap from my sis.  Those flowery things are necklaces from a restaurant my sis work at. 

The dress is a perfect fit for me, the fabric is so thin that it feels really cool even under super hot sun. And it has cute little ribbon belt on it. 

My mom got me these special tiles has my initials. I'm still thinking what I should do with it. Maybe I'll save it until I get my own home and decorate my favorite place in my home with it.

I love collecting post cards. Even though I haven't traveled yet I just ask family or friends to get me some from where they are going. Wishing I'll travel there some time. These are from Spain.

This one is my favorite. I don't know if you remember lee hyori, the famous celebrity I love. but this one got popular in korea because of her. It's Wild Rose Beauty Balm from Neal's Yard Remedies. She introduced this product on some tv show and I wonder if it's really good. It can be used as cleanser, cream, and also facial mask. My mom got me this and I think I used it for a week, I can feel definite difference on my skin. My skin used to get oily at 3 or 4 in the after noon so I have to fix my make up. But after I started to use this balm, the problem is gone. I don't have to powder T-zone at all anymore. 

My mom came back home 2 weeks after my dad, so I could get 2nd presents. :P 

A dress, neat sweater, Mary chocolate, and postcards from Belgium, a bag, and a fan from Spain, few cosmetics, biscuits, some other snacks from UK. Apparently my mom felt free from dad's coming back home, so she and my sister went travel Belgium. 

This exact moment I'm wearing that black dress from Zara which I really really love, I love those beads on each shoulders. The bag from Hispanitas is really comfy and light-weighted one. Some more Sanctuary masks, it really heats up and it feels really good, St.Ives' facial scrubs which my sis recommended, E45 body lotion my mom got for me concerning my atopy:( it got better before she gave me this though. 

My mom felt sorry for left me home so she got so many awesome things for me, many more that she got for herself. I'm so grateful for that. <3 

I really wish I'll take a trip to Europe some day as well. I appreciate what my family got for me but it could have been better if I could get those things by myself. :(

Sorry I disappeared again. I had stressed out too much from looking for a job. It was so exhausting. Thankfully I could able to find the one. It’s not a big company and pay is not that good either. But the people are so nice. It’s the 4th week working here, so far it’s great. I have been so impressed by their attitudes and minds.

Here’s how it happened. 

So„ I was so stressed out and frustrated. I was thinking that I should give up and look for anothe way, if I don’t find a job until summer. One day, I got a phone call from a company saying that they want to interview me. I didn’t even apply for the job. It was a business supporting team at food ingredients’ company. Their selling score is pretty high, but it didn’t seem like big company and I didn’t have any knowledge about food ingredients. But you know I was pretty desperate. So I decided to go for it.

I saw the building and thought “Yeah, this is what I thought.” It’s a small building and actually is not a office building. But when I got to meet the interviewers, “Wow. They are exactly the ones I want to work with.” They really, I mean REALLY, wanted me. When we talked about the pay and they found out that my expectation was higher than what they can offer, they started to persuade me. Seriously? Who could do that? I’ve had few interviews and the interviewers were just interviewers. I think interview is INTERview. It’s about interviewing each other. The employers may be interested in the candidates, but it’s possible that the candidates are not that interested after they saw the work place or the interviewers. So not only the interviewees have to appeal themselves, also the interviewers have to try to make a good first impression too. And my interviewers who are my bosses in my team are the ideals. They tried to persuade me and showed their pride and affection in the company. I was so impressed by them.

Their attitudes and the fact that they really wanted me were the reasons that I decided to work for the company. Remember that I said I didn’t apply for the company? They saw my resume on recruiting website and thought I was perfect one for the job. They were eager to work with me. Exactly a week before I got the call, I watched a video clip and got so touched. It was for people like me who struggling with looking for a job, saying that “You haven’t been chosen because you haven’t found the place that really wants you. It’s not because you have flaws or you are not good enough. You are awesome and full of great abilities. For example, if you majored in history but the job requires knowledge in science then of course they won’t choose you. You just haven’t found the one that really wants you.” By the time I watched it, I have already started to think that my resume is not good enough. I guess everybody gets to the point thinking like that. A week later I got a phone call from a company that fits the description. They really wanted me.

For whom are suffering from looking for a job or looking for your better half, it’s not because you are not good enough. You just haven’t found the one that seriously wants or needs you. I’m sure you’ll find it, it just takes some time. Don’t give up. It sucks, but never ever give up.
