Dev on the other hand wasn’t listening, but that wasn’t exactly a surprise to anyone. over the years he’d become the resident expert on seemingly ignoring things that were happening right in front of him. “you know if you feed the strays they’re more likely to come back.” he stated finally training this eyes on the student that stood a head of him looked like they might be in the middle of an existential crisis.

“i see you’ve become a comedienne while you were couped up.” dev replied with a tsk. the of shock on her face wasn’t the expected reaction to his admission. he wasn’t an uncaring person, at least that’s what he told himself. “you needed the rest, so i left you to it. actually they would, and rather gleefully i might add. we’re not the type this school makes exceptions for. ”

in the time that he’d been one of the house’s prefects having a wand pointed at him had lost its novelty. he’d faulted the frequent occurrence to his reputation for being also inappropriately levelheaded. though most of the aggressors rethought the decision before making a bigger mistake. “whatever you say, travers. though you should find a better way to deal with stress. being angry all the time is bad for your health.”

of course he’d been to see her, not that she’d been awake when he arrived. it wasn’t as if she would have wanted him there to begin with. he’d taken to getting updates from madame pomfrey, and despite her usual distaste for guest she seemed to look favorably on him. which was good he guess, at least it look some degree of genuine. “i came to check on you, unless than isn’t allowed now. you’ve been rather scarce.”

She hadn’t seen him in a while and wasn’t sure if she missed him or not. Part of her was glad to see him another part dreaded it. “No, it’s allowed. It’s just surprising, I haven’t seen you in a bit.” She said up at him and cleared a spot off on her bed for him. “I don’t feel like dealing with idiots right now and since hogwarts seems to be crawling with them I figured it’d be best if I made myself scarce and since before this I was in the hospital wing last week, I didn’t see you. I just figured you should know.Although I doubt you care, considering I’m sure you knew and just didn’t come see me.” She shrugged moving her books to her night table behaving pretty passive towards him.

he couldn’t say for sure if her expression was the result of apprehension or something else, but he didn’t question her about it. “my apologies. preparing for n.e.w.t’s is rather labor intensive.” why lie? it wasn’t as if she didn’t know the nature of his extra curricular interest. “that is unavoidable im afraid.” dev gave her a quizzing look before shrugging. “i was there every night. you can be a heavy sleeper, and i’m certain madame pomfrey wouldn’t take kindly to me waking you.”

Nat sat on her bed reading, she’d been out of the hospital wing for about a week and mainly keeping to herself, not in the mood to pretend so she thought it best to stay away from her fiancé and friends and everyone. She was trying to catch up on her homework and had papers spread all around her and wearing a shirt of Dev’s and a pair of shorts, relaxed but busy all at the same time. She didn’t notice him watching her from the doorway, jumping a bit when he spoke. Looking up at him, “Yeah. You left it here. It’s comfortable.” She said simply. “Is there something I can help you with?” She asked closing her books looking up at him biting her lip.

“is that my shirt?” dev watched her from the doorway from some time before making his presence known. it seemed these days he had about an easy of a time getting into her common room as he did his own. which didn’t help the ever growing misconception that the pair were also housemates. he’d been kept rather preoccupied in recent weeks, not that they made any real attempt to make time for each other.

Neither, if one of them. If Nat got too sloppy and drunk Dev would probably just leave her there and Nat would probably fight with him and than kick him out of the car and make him walk.

Nat, she wants to be a healer and uses him as practice.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day

Ha! these hermits don’t go to the beach together.

Gives unprompted massages

Nat, mainly when she wants something from him.

Drives/rides shotgun

Nat brings him lunch and occasionally he brings her one

Nat probably because she’s the angel of her parents eyes and his relationships are rocky.

not here. with a bit of reluctance he released her. getting himself shipped of to azkhaban was the last thing he needed or wanted. and while some would call him arrogant he wasn’t stupid enough to think he could be bought out of a murdered girl in hogwarts. “you’re infuriating.” dev stated coldly. running a hand through his hair he moved away from where he’d left her. an overreaction? yes, and he knew that. not that he would admit that.

“you’re under the impression that i would be willing to put enough energy into it to even be mildly annoyed.” all of this had come at a time when he thought things wouldn’t possibly get much worse. it felt like she just some omnipresent reminder. “and what use would i have for making peace with any of your kind? let alone you?” there wasn’t a trace of anger in the sound of his voice but the words had a bite. “we are hardly anything of the sort. i couldn’t care less about you or any other of other vile beings you find some relation to.”
