Bowie's fics are frequently deeply thought-out short stories, with some longer forays that build on themes of deep love and the inevitable disconnect between lovers, the intimacy of death (literal and metaphorical), finding revolution in a lover and then finding that love itself is never truly enough, proxies and doubles of all kinds, and the intricate workings of the body

Leave Your Life Open -- a 30k, two chapter sexbot fic with an incredible focus on bodies and the impacts that sports, fame, and sex appeal will have on them. any and all fans of robot consciousness will see their favorite ideas here, writ large, replete with excellent worldbuilding and supported by Bowie's feverish research brain. the way that Bowie allows space for discomfort in sex, and uses that discomfort to highlight the tensions between these men in all their iterations, is truly masterful. if you pick up anything to celebrate with today, let it be this fic.
chemical creep -- an elegant little vignette that is very near and dear to my heart, featuring Bowie's perfect Harrow voice and our shared love of getting so high. if you like it and need more, great news! you can pair it with another of my favorite Harrow vignettes!
show me your teeth! -- another short TLT fic, a luxurious little scene for everyone with a dental kink (and I know that a good few of y'all have the hots for fingers in your mouth). Bowie's understanding of Griddlehark and what is actually hot about their dynamic shines out of this fic. (it's also a double whammy for Pride month celebrations, since I'll be getting my own wisdom teeth out in a couple weeks.)
twin flame bruise -- one of Bowie's many fantastic HR short story fics, a continued exploration of medical kink, and a sweet, sad in-universe look at the ways Shane and Ilya are and could be the same if they only stopped resisting. read if you want a taste of how Bowie depicts the Shilya dynamic before taking on a longer fic, and if you're having fun, check out some BTS that I got out of them recently (for us, the fans).
to feel you, invented -- a deeply sexy, slightly longer exploration of sex on screen in Heated Rivalry. we're undeniably in the throes of the RPF renaissance, and Bowie is truly incredible at reveling in the fun of making up worlds while also threading the fantasy with all the true moments of intimacy that appear between anyone so deeply enmeshed. in other words: this is the tap code fic.
