i will remember yellowjackets as a show with a good premise that at every turn refused to engage fully in not just the implications of the premise but also, like, the premise itself. furthermore i will remember it as a show that fumbled literally every single one of its women of color despite fascinating character setups. i will also remember it as a show that in its season one finale featured a woman entering a hidden chamber within her own home and finding that she was the threat of violence following her family; a Black lesbian woman who is at once bluebeard and her bride. and then they were like great let’s not explore this ever again

I still very much need support just to attend my interviews and to actually get to work. Now that our company car broke down I have to get myself to and from our work areas that change everyday. Once I finish this movie it is paid. This movie is saving my creative spirit and pushing me in ways I haven't before but its also literally paying my rent.

I know I've asked for help at this point I've exhausted every resource. My old job didn't pay me in full yet, EI has to be called because of a mistake on their end, I'm selling my clothes and jewelry. And at this point maybe its damn stupid but I want this movie to happen so badly. Anybody who knows me knows what this means to me. I have to survive to May fucking First and I'll get paid and can submit this film.

I am so tired of needing to ask. This has been one of the roughest months of my life. Door to door has been brutal especially physically yesterday. Getting heatstroke while having horrible cramps. It hurts but I'm so relieved my body is healing.

But its so goddamn close I can taste it. God I want this so badly. I deserve this. I'm so tired.
