If you have heard, seen or read anything about Venezuela recently, you may know that my country is in a deep humanitarian crisis, we can barely find food or medicines, and when we do, we can barely afford it.

For those who work, their minimum wage is Bs.F 97 531,56 (4,8 dollars as of right now), without counting the money that is only used to buy food, and it is not enough to afford the basic basket (‘the set of goods and services essential for a person can meet their basic needs’).

In Venezuela, the dollar in the black market (dólar paralelo) rules the economy, every time it rises, prices increase, making it impossible to live, we are just trying to survive at this point. This dollar increases daily, sometimes several times in a day.

This crisis not only has affected people but also their pets, some people are choosing to throw their pets to the streets because they can not pay for their food or veterinary bills.
