HOME

Home, where is home?

I want to go home

Home wasn’t the house where I grew up

Home wasn’t the place I first lived alone

Perhaps I cannot find what I never had and I’m too broken to build it

I want to go home

But I don’t know where it is

The house of my parents?

The ashes it became are the remains of something dead long before being burnt

And I cannot find it in me to mourn the destruction but rather the fact the house had to rot and crumble on makeshift scaffolds before a match was finally lit

Maybe before the house burned the people inside it did

Because everything inside me is hollow

I cannot find that inner peace that makes you feel at home

My soul is quiet but not calm

Though I still desire it, I will never find a place that feels like home

Because ghosts are bound to haunt and never belong

I’ve always hated questions I can’t answer

And when I was little you always knew everything

The world made sense when you explained it

No matter what you said I believed you

Your voice deep and solid like the words were being etched into the foundations of the earth as you spoke

So when you said someday I would find a prince who loved me I kept those words as a promise in my heart

With time I learned the answers myself and didn’t need to run to you each time

But then you left and I had the hardest question of all

Would you still love me?

Could you love the me I am today?

I am not the little girl you knew anymore and the words you once told me are not what I want

I’m not gonna find a prince

What if I want a princess

Do you still love me?

I can imagine that you would

I fear that you wouldn’t

But I’ll never know for certain

So what if in the future after things have settled and they are all older Endeavor finds a love bite on his sons neck or a pair of pants that do not belong to strawberry shortcake and is adamant he know who his son has been hooking up with. And like the little shits they are the entirety of his class+Shinso because my boy deserves it say it’s them. Just imagine the chaos. “Shoto you can not be hooking up with your whole class at the same time.” “Obviously not Father....we keep a schedule.” Seriously tho just imagine how far they would go just to fuck with Endeavor. Highlights:

•Momo makes and sends Endeavor a shirt that says worlds #2 grandpa and Endeavor loses his shit (bonus she makes All might a worlds number 1 grandpa shirt and he actually wore it in front of Endeavor, so everyday Deku fears for his life)

•Bakugou pulling Shoto into his lap before Endeavor walks by just to be a little shit as kiri and sero barely hold it together in the background.

•Mina slapping his ass after a training match saying “omg babe do that tonight too”

•Our beautiful Gravity Queen asking if they can split the dowry 20+ ways and Endeavour exploding

•Somehow they all end up at Endeavor’s house and Denki comes back from the bathroom like “wow that sure is a different journey when you aren’t stumbling in the dark”

•Everyone calling Shoto different increasingly nonsensical pet names (best so far was my sweet strawberry swirl by Iida with a straight face)

•Sero and Jirou serenade him at a school assembly once “and this one goes out to the hottest piece in the school”

•someone gets a fake tattoo that says shoto forever

•Shinso keeps giving Todo his clothes to wear

•the whole class starts wearing shirts that just say “he may be the number 2 hero’s son but he is number one in my heart, somehow half the student body is wearing them when Endeavour comes to guest speak

•at this point it is unknown who he actually is dating and his actual s/o thinks this is hilarious

Just like Slughorn, Albus Dumbledore collects people. Only, instead of focusing on those with influence, he looks to the outcasts.

The expelled half-giant. The young werewolf. The repentant Death Eater.

He protects them and gives them a second chance. All he asks in return is their loyalty.

And, if on occasion he requests that they undertake a certain task, invoking their debt of gratitude - well, that is no more than he is owed.

He once thought to add a certain disowned Black to his collection, but quickly realised his mistake.

Sirius is not an outcast, but a rebel. He knowingly chose his path, and chooses what price he is willing to pay for it. He refuses to be used.

So Albus Dumbledore abandons him.

Nooonono, my friend, that’s what makes this post so beautiful. Because it fits the meta I’ve been trying to get people to accept for years.

Harry was an outcast due to a childhood filled with abuse and neglect.

Vernon made him an outcast by dismissing his claims of magic, berating him, locking him in a CLOSET and putting bars on his window, and let’s face it, even though her editor made her cut it out, Jo intended for there to be physical abuse.

Petunia made him an outcast by enabling and contributing to this abuse, as well as making Harry do dozens of chores while doting on Dudley.

Dudley made him an outcast by bullying him and threatening any students at school who wanted to be his friends.

And the rest of the wizarding world made him an outcast when they bullied him for being an outsider.

Harry James Potter became an outcast the moment he was placed with The Dursleys.

And who put him there in the first place?

This makes even more sense when you consider why Dumbledore deliberately made Harry an outcast.

Think about it What would Harry have been like if he had grown up in the wizarding world? Or, to put it another way, what would Harry have been like if he had grown up in a world where magic was the norm?

He would have taken magic for granted. He would have been less likely (especially as he got older) to view Dumbledore as a wise mentor and more likely to see him as flawed and capable of bad decisions. He would have seen both the world and Dumbledore as ordinary, with their good points and bad points.

But Dumbledore didn’t need a well-adjusted boy who took magic and the magical world for granted. He needed a child who would love the magical world unstintingly, even irrationally, because it was a haven from neglect and abuse. Even more, he needed a child who feared this world becoming evil and who therefore would not question someone that he saw as the ultimate authority, especially if he believed that obeying that authority would keep the world safe.

Even if obedience meant his own death.

Dumbledore wanted a martyr who would die for the wizarding world, because he believed that Voldemort could not die until Harry did. Which was why he left Harry with the Dursleys and let them neglect and emotionally abuse him for the next ten years.

To get a martyr, he first had to create a victim.

Recipe:

Combine 2 tbs instant coffee, 2 tbs granulated sugar, 2 tbs boiling water in smallish bowl. Whip with an electric mixer for 2 minutes (or a whisk for 5+). Serve on a glass of either iced or warm milk. Makes 3 cups, not one crystal tumbler. 3 cups. Do not drink it all in one glass. Time will warp and tear around you if you drink it all in one glass.

I got inspired by the little one liner in the first huddle. My heart may have spasmed a little so I arted.

I had a dream last night. It was a woman in a group of pirates and they keep going goo goo eyes over her and flirting with her they all knew they were planning to sacrifice her in the end but didn’t mind the “eye candy on the way” but then she turned on them and came out the winner with the treasure in her possession and one of them looked at her as she walked away leaving them all to die and said “ how could you do this” and she turned around and replied. “How could I do what? The exact thing you planned to do to me? If you want to use someone else you have to be prepared for them to use you. Did you think you were the only one who could step on others to win. You underestimated me and I overestimated you. I am not a flower to be trampled, I am a sharp blade that you failed to realize was pointed at your throat.” Then I woke up.
