thinking about Invisigal and Royd and their offscreen interaction when she tells him she recognized the proto-pulse explosion and asks him to scan for similar energy readings

I'm just imagining Visi hesitantly bringing her idea to him 🥺 and he goes from down in the dumps about putting everyone in danger and his inability to recreate the pulse to super excited about having an actual solution they can bring to Robert.

and the more excited he gets the more guilty she feels, because it's her fault Robert lost the pulse in the first place 😥😔 but Royd puts a hand on her shoulder and tells her this is gonna be the thing that gets Robert back in the suit for real. she saved Mecha Man. how many people can say that, eh? 😊

and she shoves him and tells him to shut up and reminds him that they don't actually have it yet 🙄 ...but she can't help but smile at the way Royd is hyping her up and the prospect of him helping her start to fix the worst mistake she ever made 😭🥹

I beg my kidnappers for a phone, swearing not to make any calls or texts, and they stare over my shoulder, holding a gun to my head as I use my newly-freed hand to post, "So do like, dudes just buy ropes and baklavas from the same store or what lmfao like a specialty Crime Store"

One of the kidnappers says "balaclavas" but it's muffled under the fabric. I ask them to repeat and they do, their voice raspy from disuse. "You wrote baklava, that's a pastry." The other kidnapper goes "stfu" and then after a pause goes "Why would you buy from a crime store"

Being knocked out for more than 5 minutes means very serious brain damage but humans not having a turn-off button would do immense damage to our collective storytelling. So many films and books and videogames just wouldn't happen if writers stopped bonking their characters on the head. Insane.

really love a corruption arc where the character is trying way too hard to make it work but they're in over their head and it's uncomfortable and embarrassing and they're swallowing their own puke every time they do something awful and damp with sweat and trembling but insistent that they can do this, they want it, they're not a child, but it's like they're playing dressup in clothes that are too big for them and trying to convince their own reflection in the mirror that they fit and it's just no fun to watch at all
