"The caterpillar grows wings during a season of isolation. Remember that when you feel alone." - Mandy Hale
I hate the way we can’t just like or dislike things anymore. Everything has to be a debate. If you dislike a thing, you have to prove that it’s objectively bad, preferably by calling it whatever-ist or whatever-phobic. And if you like a thing, you better be prepared to defend that preference against people who’ll tell you it’s whatever-ist or whatever-phobic.
Screw that. I like things because I like them. I dislike things because I dislike them. I don’t have to justify anything if I don’t want to, and other people sure as hell don’t have to justify anything to me. It’s okay to like different things. That’s why the world is so full of stuff, so that there’s something in it for everyone.
when SZA said “I moved on for the better, you moved on to whoever” I FELT THAT.
Kinda shocked that i still have 900+ fllwers after i stopped blogging actively last 2013. Tho mostly are ghost followers and inactive accounts, i decided to unfollow all the blogs that i followed in the past years (and follow new ones) and block some pseudo followers bc i felt like i needed to.
5 TIPS ON HOW TO REVIEW FOR UPCAT
Hi, I am MJ, a USC-SHS ABM graduate and humbly bragging–an UPCAT passer. I was once like you, a hopeful taker who had read tips, advices and stories because UP was “the” dream school. So I promised myself to atleast share how I self-reviewed for UPCAT whether I pass or not because this thing here was made with authentic effort. Although i’m not a good writer, i’ll try to be as uderstandable as possible.
So I’m not smart. The reason why I started reviewing 4 months before the exam was because of self-doubt. The fact that I’m stupid motivated me to do my very best to somewhat lessen this dumbness. It helped me prove to myself that maybe I can, and maybe i’m better than I thought. yall feel me? So I dedicate this post to everyone who doubt themselves and who wanted to turn that doubt into confidence and proudness. So here are my tips on how to rigorously review for UPCAT:
1) Choose your UPCAT buddies wisely These are the people you can count on. The people who will help you pass all the requirements and who will motivate you to take the 5-hour (and longer) exam. There came a time when we thought of giving up because (a) we were SO busy with school activities, and (b) UP was very demanding. So shoutout to Shine, Brix, and Kyla who took it with me. Surviving it has already made us winners.
2) Start reviewing as early as possible Know that UPCAT has a complex coverage and focusing on just one or two topics won’t be helpful so if you’ve started reviewing that’s a good thing but if you haven’t yet, I recommend you to start right away.
3) Assess yourself on your knowledge After I introduced you to the two prerogattive tips, the real thing starts here. Assessing your knowledge is burdening when you lack resources and ofc-willpower so I ought to provide the former but the latter is up to you.
-Online reviewers (downloadable pdfs) Picture 4 provides the link where u can download the file. Tho i got mine from a friend (theyre kinda confidential). They have questions related to the curriculum’s lessons in Math, Science and Language. They also have in-depth discussions in the subjects thereof. In fact, i can email the pdfs, just message me :)
-MSA Reviewer books To those who don’t know MSA, it is a learning center for students who opt to take UPCAT, USTET, DLCUSET, ACET and other examination of well known universities. We’re not financially fortunate that’s why I just borrowed books from my friend (s/o to my good friend Shine). These books are of great help, very.
4) Create a journal If you prefer visual and hands-on learning (like me), investing to journals is a good idea. To be honest, I spent my youth living YOLO and neglecting education so I became very EXTRA 4 months before UPCAT. I started reviewing from basics to the extremes. Shown in picture 2 is the first 2 pages of my journal. You can preferrably customize it the way you want since you’re the boss of your own journal.
5) Stop reviewing the day before the exam Take this advice from someone who’s paranoid and who slept late the night before the test. It was one of the worst decisions in my life, EVER. I deprived myself from sleep and during the godd*mn 5-hour exam I got an headache and a strained neck. So gurl, REST UP.
That ends my post. I’m not sure if I was helpful but I hope I fueled your compassion and dedication as an UPCAT taker. An advanced congratulations if you pass and if ever you’ll fail, sweetie it’s not the end of the world and as cliche as it sounds –God has plans.
Wtf
I pray you quit overthinking, replaying failed scenarios, feeding self doubt & seeing the good in everyone but your self. You deserve more.

Do not expect people to love you as passionately as much as you do them because you will be let down every time. Everyone loves in different ways and sometimes that small amount of passion they give you is all they have left.
