the level at which Eddie and Buck are repressed vs oblivious is hilarious. Eddie will say he's straight and then proceed to say the most repressed, self flagellating things possible, and get guidance to allow joy into his life all while talking to a queer priest. Buck will say he's an ally and then describe the most queer behavior all while sitting at a date with a man. Eddie will experience joy once he gives himself permission.
