They buy him all sorts of stuff and develop a crush on him, and he feels the same (she fell first x he fell harder trope) and they’re just super physically affectionate once reader realizes they like eachother but tries to nudge him to confess in order to try to get him to gain some independence?

"By the way, where's Fu?"
The car had already been set into motion. Enjin sat behind the wheel, a dormant expression evident on his face that already told everyone that he was not in the mood for this.
"Left him at the base. No more questions no–"
Not because Enjin was about to follow through with your request but because the sheer audacity that sat in your voice tugged on his nerves. He in no way wished to take the position of your parent, yet letting that attitude slide was off the table.
Thus he turned around, his hand placed on the back of the passenger seat and an annoyed expression on his face.
A silence fell over the others who had come along with you. Neither their bodies nor the hairs on their skin dared to move, as they knew that any sound could have fatal consequences.
Riyou awkwardly sat to your right, eyes staring out the window as if her life depended on it. Meanwhile Rudo pushed his body as far away from you as possible. Maybe if he pressed himself hard enough into the door they'd merge together?
Not even Dear or Bro dared to interrupt and Zanka had mentally departed a long time ago.
"I said, turn around." Emphasizing the breaks in-between your words, made sure to show the man that you meant business.
But Enjin did not care. Matter of fact, tense interactions between you and him have become far too common.
"I won't." And with that said he started the engine again.
"I still don't trust him one bit. Besides, the car is full. We'll need the extra space for all the stuff y'all are going to buy."
With furrowed brows and a flat line on your lips you eyed the man up and down, throwing him a poisonous glare– and at the same time you found your hands reaching into your pockets.
The familiar item soon found its way into your hands and of course you had made sure to keep that eye contact.
Trying to keep calm was no longer everyone's main objective. As a hoard of, soapy bubbles began to engulf the car, everyone's hands reached for something to hold on to.
The small bubbles accumulated into one big mass that soon warped around the entire car, lifting it into the air and carrying it back to the base.
"Every damn time!" Enjin bashed his head against the horn, his attentiveness no longer needed for the moment.
"Just agree next time and save us all this." Riyou chuckled, her arms crossed over her chest.
"Y/n ye can't keep doin this." Zanka mumbled under his breath but did not dare to lock eyes with you. Paying him no mind, you excitedly gazed down the window, waiting for the small bubble that had slipped past the window to return.
And there it was, carrying the ex raider inside of it."
Rudo opened the door just in time for the teen to get in."
Fu's expression resembled the one of a scared cat– but that was only to be expected. Moments ago he was sitting in the common room, not specifically waiting for someone but still waiting, when all of a sudden a bubble swooped him up .
"Come shopping with us, Fu!"
And just like that the expression on his face changed, the command being well perceived.
The city sat packed with commotion and noise from all sides, a sensory overload for those unused to such big places.
Fu couldn't take his eyes from the enormous screens promoting all sorts of products, the stylish attire of the passerbys and the scrumptious smells coming from the nearby restaurants.
"Alright, listen closely." Enjin assembled the group seconds before you all were about to run off.
"We movin in groups of at least two. No startin anything or causing trouble– keep y'alls slate clean. We will rendezvous here in exactly three hours."
"Understood." Riyou winked, already grabbing Zanka and Rudo to run off.
Dear and Bro wasted not a single moment after Enjin was done, taking off onto their own journey. One of the local bakeries, which they have been wanting to visit for a while now, became their main target for today– leaving behind only you, Fu and the blonde cleaner.
"Got any plans for this one." A cigarette found its way between Enjin's fingers, brought to life by a small spark of fire.
"I wanna get him out of these clothes and find him something a tad bit..nicer. You cool with that, Fu?"
"Y-you don't have to spend any money on me! I'll feel bad since I wont be able to repay you.."
"No need to! In return, you can take care of my many tasks to make up for it!" This time you did not wait for his answer and simply dragged him along. Fortunately for you, there was no protest in his movements. Enjin watched you both disappear behind the crowd. With the new established silence, he could finally clear his head and wander off to his own adventure, think about what he wanted to do.
He found himself only mildly concerned about the raider accompanying you. Yet thinking back about his first interaction with Fu, there wasn't anything to be worried about. You could handle yourself just fine if it came down to it.
"Fu, look at this! You like it?"
The stores were as packed as the streets, which made it rather difficult to navigate through the aisles. Each section was disappointing and promising at the same time and the choices of clothes that would actually fit him was limited as well.
But Fu was satisfied with everything you showed to him, his head joyfully nodding along like a silly puppy.
"You are so kind, Y/n, it makes me really happy." His smile warmed your heart.
"Hii thinks so too, right Hii? The Raiders were good too but you really making me like this place."
His words touched you deeply, causing a smile to appear on your lips that just wouldn't disappear.
Being part of the raiders, you had first expected him to be stubborn or a pain in the ass. You weren't present when he was accepted into the group and therefore had only heard from him through others.
But he had greeted you with such kindness, complimenting your every actions and passing words of affection and gratitude your way like he truly meant it. He was such an honest and kind person.
You felt your heart fluttering every time Fu came closer to inspect the clothes you wanted him to wear. Moving away was no option yet at the same time you feared that he could hear your heartbeat.
"Oh, this is nice too." You mumbled to yourself, as your eyes landed on a shirt a little further away.
"Want me to get that as well?" Fu's hands already reached for the piece of fabric before you could respond, picking it up to inspect it in a better light. As he did, his fingers brushed slightly against yours. A small action for the passerby, yet you felt yourself high at the edge.
"Look, it has a matching piece." The boy pointed at the shirt across the table and indeed– the graphic Tees were supposed to be a match.
I clear my system, I don't need no other
This is my persona, secret lover
These are song lyrics, are they not? You thought to yourself.
"The fabric sure feels nice." Only a singular thought made its way through your mind as Fu ran his hands through the fabric.
You two soon returned to the place where the car was parked at, your bags filled with clothes and other goods dangling back and forth. Zanka, Rudo and Riyou already stood there, waiting for the rest to return, while Dear and Santa could be seen approaching the group at the same time as you from the other side of the street.
Ironically, but to no one's surprise, Enjin was the only one who yet had to return.
"Oh! What do we have here?"
Riyou chuckled softly, her eyes darting towards your chest.
"I clear my system, I don't need no other?" She read out loud.
"This is my persona, secret lover." Zanka read the words on Fu's shirt as well.
Proudly, you positioned yourself even closer to Fu and showed off the find of the day. "They are so cute, right!"
Your relationship with Fu seemed to only have grown stronger after that day. From sleepovers to field trips and missions– most moments were spend together.
But what specifically made you happy was the change in the others. Rudo found himself inviting Fu to eat out with him, Zanka and Riyou when you were absent and even the man himself, Enjin, spoke about him in a more familiar tone.
To be met with such delicate care was a sensation unknown to the boy. When surrounded by the laughter and cheers of his new teammate, his mind would always wander towards you.
"Look, you can decorate your room with this as well. " You held up the Keychains for the boy to admire, his curious gaze wandering all around the small item.
"They'd definitely go well with the other things you got for me." His smile gleamed with joy.
Both you and Fu sat in a corner at the common room, a soft blanket beneath you to cushion your legs. Bags and trinkets laid all around you from your most recent visits from the city, the arcade to be more specific.
This had become a regular thing among you and although it remained unsaid, the adults truly enjoyed watching you two enthusiastically going through your things.
"Oh and I know just the place to put this beauty!"
While your eyes excitedly examined the raccoon plushie, hands gliding over its soft fur, Fu could not help himself but lay his gaze on you.
Your lips had a way of curling up into such pleasant smile. Especially when excited or simply indulging in the moment, he would always notice it.
It did something to his hearts that mere worlds could never explain.
"You're really spoiling him, Y/n." Enjin commented from across the room, his sturdy hands shuffling through a deck of cards.
"He does so much for me, its only fair for me to pay him back."
Fu had helped you around with so many tasks, you found it difficult to keep track. No matter if it was helping you find a lost item or carrying you from A to B– his support has eased your life in noticeable ways.
Your words got cut short as your eyes fell onto his. He was full on starring at you, his gaze almost penetrating your skin. But it was no unwell expression that sat on his face but rather something else..?
Your body automatically pulled away from him and your entire body turned hot and itching with frustration. Fu had noticed his intense starring as well and the realization almost knocked him out cold. He hadn't even notice that he was still starring at you.
The remaining interaction was kept to a minimum. Fu awkwardly moved the things around, while you held up new items for him to review. He said yes to nearly everything, which got you thinking about something you haven't thought of before.
"You know..you don't have to accept everything I give you. If there is an item you don't like, you can say no. It's okay."
"But..I couldn't, not when you put in so much effort to get me this stuff."
Fu continued to go through the trinkets not knowing how his answer left you feeling uneasy.
So there are items he doesn't really like..?
"And then I told him that he doesn't have to force himself to like everything I give him but he said that he'd feel bad if he rejected them!."
Riyou sat on your windowsill, her hands playing with the sharp pair of scissors as you talked away.
A good hour has been spent spilling your frustration out to the red head, who patiently listened to your ramble.
"Maybe you should confront him head on, he seems like the kind of guy who needs that."
"Confront him with what?"
"Your crush." It was as if Riyou had knocked out all the air in your lungs.
She had addressed it so casually, and for some reason it offended you that she had the audacity to expose you before you could tell her yourself.
You knew what it was like to be constantly excluded, underestimated and overlooked by the people around you, that's why it was so important to you to make him feel welcomed.
Falling in love was never part of the picture.
"So..you gonna tell him or what?"
"Please gimme some time to think about this and get my thoughts sorted."
Jumping off the windowsill, Riyou began to approach you.
"Ain't nothing to figure out or sort here. You guys are constantly giggling and smiling and spend like every second in each other's presence." She started to read you like a book, a teasing grin on her face. But she wasn't making fun of you, it was her way of opening your eyes.
"His little extra acts of services are definitely his love language."
Your mind wandered towards the end of last week, a memory you were forever going to cherish.
"Fu..what are you doing?"
Fu had kneeled down before you, hands reaching for his back as if he was expecting for something to be loaded onto him.
"Giving you a ride!! Since you were so busy with all your missions, I couldn't really pay you back with tasks..so for today I will be your chauffeur!"
The boy was glowing with excitement like the first rays of sun on a spring day. Based on his body language, he was not intending to accept a no as an answer. Thus your crawled onto his back.
It felt surprisingly firm, considering his slim body but at the same time something about it felt so huggable. So without thinking much about it, your arms wrapped around Fu's shoulders and your body pressed against his.
It felt like hugging a plushie.
"Didn't you say that his face turned beet red? If that isn't sign enough then I don't know what is."
Riyou always knew what to say and how to persuade you and right now she was hitting all the right nails.
"He totes feels the same way about you! You just gotta press that info out of him somehow."
"And how exactly?" Sitting down next to you on your bed, the girl placed one of her arms around your shoulders and pulled you closer. She shrugged at the same time, being as much at a loss as you.
"Beats me. Trap him in one of your bubbles and force him to talk, I have no idea seriously."
Words that were intended as a harmless joke were perceived by you in a serious light. She saw the look in your eyes, swelling with determination and already felt emotions of concern pulling on her skin.
"I wasn't serious..you know?"
But you had long stopped listening, thinking of a plan already.
And now you were aimlessly floating above the base, with a terrified Fu sitting half a meter away from you. His eyes sat fixated on the ground– or better said on the distance between him and it. A couple moments of adjustment were needed, before he found himself breathing more calm breaths.
Your hands were what helped him calm down the most. Feeling your soft skin on his, while your eyes conveyed words he needed to hear.
"Fu, the reason I asked you to come here is because..I think there is something on your mind that you should share with me." Your hands remained on his even as you began to tremble lightly.
Your strategy was to make him confess. Not because you feared that the words would get stuck in your throat but also because you truly believed that it could help him with his confidence, give it a little kick!
"T-there is??" His face pulled into a disturbed grimace. Even after spending all this time together, reading Fu was still quite the mystery.
"Yes, there is. And you shouldn't give it much thought, you know! It's best to just..let it out! Share it, and so on.."
The bubble shifted along with you. In your attempt to move in closer, you slightly slipped, almost causing your Jinki to deactivate. You had caught it in time but in return found yourself hanging over the boys lap.
"I want him to be more confident and tell me what he likes.."
Your words rang through the back of your mind, filling your heart with determination. As if you didn't almost fall out of the sky due to your own clumsiness, you got back up and seated yourself properly next to him.
"We've been spending lots of time together lately and I truly feel like we have formed a bond." You began, in hopes of sparkling something in his heart. But Fu's gaze was as avoidant as ever.
Thus you remained like this for a while, your lips chatting around the bush, slightly addressing the topic before switching it up again.
And after all had been addressed, you fell silent. The newfound lack of noise was rather nice. After what he had said that day, it felt like you have been forcing yourself onto him, pushing your own agenda and needs onto the other.
Did he even like you back?
Does he like the things you give him?
It bothered you, doubting him even after all you two have shared, yet uncertainty was a curse that ate away at you too often.
"I've liked everything you've given me so far, because it is you who gave them to me."
Fu was not big on acting upon his own emotions, that has been well established by now. So when you felt his hands sneaking back to yours, holding onto your fingers with such delicate grip, your heartbeat picked up in pace.
"You've been so kind to Hii and me ever since we arrived here, that made us truly happy. But not just that, you went above and beyond to make sure that we are cared for and looked out after."
And just like that he pulled you closer. Your eyes widened in size, your mind almost unable to process what he was doing. You felt yourself held in his warm embrace, the hug feeling more intimate than everything you have received from him before.
"You won't laugh at me..right?"
"Never." Your answer came instantly.
"With all the kindness you have given me, I fear I will never be able to repay you. All I can offer you, although not much, is myself, my love.."
A feeling of relief, mixed with pure delight seeped into your heart. Tears pickled down your cheeks, staining his clothes but neither of you seemed to notice. Fu was shaking, ever so slightly but so were you.
As you returned to the safety of the ground, you could finally allow your heart to fully express itself. You almost threw him off his feet, the way you were hugging him with such intense excitement. You couldn't wait to announce it all to Riyou but before you could run off, Fu grabbed you by the hands.
"Y/n..c-can I give you something?"
Holding out your hand, you expected the teen to leave a small token of his appreciation in your care. But instead he pulled you closer by your hand and placed his lips onto yours.
It was a soft kiss, tender and gentle with just enough pressure to know that it was happening. And when Fu pulled away, the beet red blush on his face was evidence too.
This was the first and best thing he has ever given you.
This was the first and best thing he has ever given you.
